Despite having another wonderful meal at the samphire last week, my husband and I will not be returning. There were 2 mistakes on our bill (a cider added that we did not have and we asked for the house wine and were charged for a more expensive bottle). This was annoying as the bill was then over £11 more than... More

Falmouth has many restaurants and you can tell the good ones as the locals eat there. This is one of them . It is family run so have a good chat with the owners.

We ate here last Thursday and would thoroughly recommend this lovely relaxed bistro for an evening meal. We started with bread and olives and we're glad we saved ourselves space for the mains and puds! OH had chicken (beautifully cooked with great choice of veg) and I had pork tenderloin with new potatoes and creamed cabbage (delicious). Puds were excellent... More

Visited on a busy Saturday night; service was prompt and efficient but got the impression that it was not a place where you were encouraged to linger. Started with olives, which were nothing special, then I had the hake with risotto and partner had the stonebass, served with a different risotto; both were excellent. For drinks we both had different... More

We didn't book the table but managed to arrive as just opening, ordered the ginger & rhubarb gin topped with prossecco which was very nice, we then wanted to order lemonade but was told they didn't have any! Amazed that any bar/restaurant can function without the basics. The menu wasn't that inspiring when we asked the waitress what the special... More

Ate there 2 days ago. Nice atmosphere. Service was attentive and efficient. Food was good value. I had pork loin, slightly dry but my partner had fish which was excellent. Would definitely go again

Whenever we visit Falmouth for an evening we book a table in Samphire. Have visited others but we always plump for Samphire. We hadn't visited for a few months but booked a table during Falmouth Week for a meal. Samphire used to be more fine dining - now they are a bistro but still have the fine dining element in... More

Looking for dinner on a busy Falmouth Week night, Red Arrows had just finished a display, nearby there was a minimum wait of one hour for a Pizza! Samphire had a spare table, the menu and specials was different, however we both chose steak and chips, to our surprise it was fantastic, the last time we had steak cooked this... More

We had the 'Prix Fixe' set menu - three courses for £20. The food was of the highest quality & generous portions too. The cocktails were also very good! It's not big so you might need to book to be sure of getting in.

We went here after we couldn't get a table at the restaurant across the road....... I rang up and they squeezed us in after 9pm, so glad they did, the food was gorgeous and the service was top notch - the young lady who looked after us couldn't do enough for us, they had no problem accommodating my partner who...
