On holiday in Cornwall we were pleased to find this small, intimate restaurant which has pleasant staff and excellent food. We chose the set menu and although the portions weren't big, as the food was good quality and very tasty it was good value.

Samphire is a small, popular well run restaurant with a small but nevertheless excellent menu. I really would recommend booking to avoid disappointment. We had three courses (shared starter & dessert) with the fish platter main all of which were tasty and well cooked. It was probably slightly more expensive than other restaurants in Falmouth but worth it in our... More

Went into Falmouth to find somewhere to eat and found Samphire where we got lucky as they had a table. Would recommend booking as they were busy and we soon found out why. I had Hake on a lovely risotto with cockles and samphire. My wife had monkfish with black olive mash and green beans. Both dishes were gorgeous and... More

A great little restaurant offering a more refined service than many eateries in the area. Great food and plenty of it within a small menu. Dont be put off by the limited choice though as the food is well prepared and cooked, delivered with a professional but friendly waiter.

We called in at lunch time and we enjoyed our lunch which was served quickly. The staff were very pleasant. The premises was clean and welcoming. The street level dining area was limited but we found it ideal for watching the world go by.

Despite having another wonderful meal at the samphire last week, my husband and I will not be returning. There were 2 mistakes on our bill (a cider added that we did not have and we asked for the house wine and were charged for a more expensive bottle). This was annoying as the bill was then over £11 more than... More

Falmouth has many restaurants and you can tell the good ones as the locals eat there. This is one of them . It is family run so have a good chat with the owners.

We ate here last Thursday and would thoroughly recommend this lovely relaxed bistro for an evening meal. We started with bread and olives and we're glad we saved ourselves space for the mains and puds! OH had chicken (beautifully cooked with great choice of veg) and I had pork tenderloin with new potatoes and creamed cabbage (delicious). Puds were excellent... More

Visited on a busy Saturday night; service was prompt and efficient but got the impression that it was not a place where you were encouraged to linger. Started with olives, which were nothing special, then I had the hake with risotto and partner had the stonebass, served with a different risotto; both were excellent. For drinks we both had different... More
