We came here solely for lobster. We booked our table the night before and enquired about the lobster and prices. The waitress told us to look on the menu in the window (we then looked and there were no prices) and did not mention we needed to reserve a lobster to have one the following evening. Consequently when we came... More

Samphire has a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and was busy so we were lucky to get a table. We chose from the set menu which is really good value - lovely chunky fish goujons and tasty French onion soup to start with steak and beef bourguinon to follow - we enjoyed every morsel! The house wine was delicious and good value... More

I had The special of plaice cooked with bacon and sea vegetables served with a couple of bottles of an excellent, local micro-brewery beer. The plaice was delicate, delicious and is possibly the best I've ever had, It came with a couple of boiled potatoes and whatever sea vegetables are, which i could have lived without. The poor waitress was... More

Having been born in Falmouth i love coming back to explore the shops, the water and the restaurants. Samphire has however been our favourite for a while now, and each time we return to Falmouth for a weekend we book. Last week was no exception. Despite being busy, the service was as always superb and the food was delicious. All... More

The food here was quite good. Finding a place to eat on a Friday night can be difficult but we just managed to get a table. Due to it being Friday it took some time before we got our food.

This was the third restaurant we tried in Falmouth.. Quick efficient service. Spotted our hotel owner eating there which must count for something. I had he onglet steak, which although very tasty but was also very tough. I have not tried this cut before so don't know if this was normal. Would certainly go back but not order that steak.

Came across this lovely bistro walking through town. Excellent choice on both the set menu and the a la carte . The food is perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The wine list is good and not too extensive and good value. The service is good and the staff were efficient and knowledgeable. All in all a truly remarkable find.

I've been coming to Samphire with my husband for nearly five years; in that time we have never had a poor meal and have always walked away feeling very positive about our meal and night out. We took some friends for their first Samphire experience and they too enjoyed the food and atmosphere. One required food alterations due to dietary... More

I have to say that I am surprised at the number of excellent reviews of this restaurant. It is indeed a pleasant place with very friendly staff but the food was very disappointing. The starter of fish goujons was OK - but just that. The seafood linguine was quite the worst I have ever had. The linguine should be coated... More

Our third visit to Samphire and once again not disappointed. Superb fish dishes, although not as many choices on the specials board as usual. Lemon posset dessert to die for!
