Visited for a leisurely lunch. Pleasant surroundings, although not to my personal taste. Bread basket was lovely with a good selection, all freshly baked and suited all tastes. Generally within our group, people were pleased with their mains. My fillet steak was cooked to perfection. The selection of petite desserts were disappointing though and would not make me want to... On a busy Monday night this was a nice place to dine, lovely food, great cocktails and good service, my only negative would be that the room lacks atmosphere and would probably be a bit more "buzzy" at lunchtime.

Away from the hustle and bustle of Eastgate Street, The Grosvenor Hotel's La Brasserie is always a relaxing oasis of calm. The staff are a delight, nothing is too much trouble and it's excellent value: brunch for two (scrambled egg and smoked salmon muffins with unlimited coffee) just £25.

We were meeting old friends we glad to seen for years and suggested we should meet half way and suggested the brasserie at the Chester grosvenor ad lunch there was always fantastic. However we were terribly disappointed with the good at lunchtime. Only a small choice for lunch and three of us chose the sea bass. I The meal came... More

We dropped in here for lunch whilst spending a leisurely few hours doing the touristy bit walking round Chester. Great location, pleasant staff, great food and value for money. What more can you ask? The setting and ambience is what you'd expect from a hotel of this quality. The tables ( and booths ) are spacious, the staff aren't pushy... More

I lunched pleasantly in the Brasserie on the sad day following the Duke's unexpected demise - understandably the atmosphere was subdued Lemon Sole a treat with accompaniments - Dover Sole seems to be invisible these days - my only criticism would be the air temperature which was decidedly cold and I left chilled

Went with friends for this Sunday offer. Cost is £35 per head for a selection of - tasty breads while waiting, 3 courses , plus a glass of champagne. So quite good value for a special occasion. The only meat choice was pork which is not my favourite and feel that as its a Sunday lunch there.should be a choice... More

As a present from my grandma we had arranged to go to this prestigious hotel to celebrate my parents wedding anniversary in the brasserie. We couldn't have been more disappointed. We arrived and sat straight away which was great. There were still empty tables. We ordered drinks and I ordered a Porn Star martini, this took around 20 minutes to... More

Sales shopping in Chester! My wife dangled the carrot of lunch at The Grosvenor so off I went. Unfortunately, didn't last until lunch time- popped in for a pot of tea and toasted tea cake. It kept me going for an hour or so. Ended up enjoying a late lunch and more tea. No complaints at all. Lovely restaurant, efficient... More

Description
With a relaxed Parisian style atmosphere La Brasserie is the perfect place for a coffee, a cocktail or a leisurely meal. The black leather sofas, sleek granite tabletops and hand-painted glass skylight all add to the feeling of French sophistication, and the Josper grill produces food superior both in taste and quality.
