We visited here recently and it was very busy, a bit quirky and very pleasant staff. Welsh rarebit was pleasant and my other half had chosen a fish finger butty which he said was just ok. It wasn't amazing but acceptable

Was drawn into this cafe/bakery by the cakes in the window. Food was excellent, had rarebit with pulled pork and my partner had a halloumi sandwich. Real show stopper has the cupcakes - both had Nutella, which was extremely tasty. Big selection of teas and coffee, afternoon tea looked great and the staff were friendly. A great find

I was in Chester on one of the busiest days of the year. I fought crowds in a city I dident know, In a Country that is not my own to get to this tea room, and I was not disappointed. It was such a cute little place with really yummy food and a highlight of my trip! I would... More

Booked afternoon tea for 5 of us one Sunday afternoon (booking essential during busy periods), the tearoom was so busy, lovely atmosphere and attentive staff. Great selection of (unlimited) teas and coffees. Nice selection of sandwiches with a scone, jam, cream, mini choux bun and macaroon PLUS your own choice of cupcake or slice of cake - hard choice to... More

First time visiting here and was lovely to see how well the theme is. Great atmosphere and sandwiches however the tomato soup was definitely off.. our waitress did mention how they have had complaints so let her know how it is. I thought this was awful that they carried on to serve this soup. I tried it an it was... More

I had visited here in 2009 and loved it, so of course I wanted to come back when I was next in Chester. I'll start with the positives as I really hope this was just a bad day I happened upon. My mum enjoyed her Rocky Road slice and redbush tea, and I also later bought a lemon meringue cupcake... More
