Took my daughter for a treat weekend to Chester- as part of it we went to this tearoom for afternoon tea ! Beautiful food and very reasonable. Lovely setting and very quirky. Will definitely return ! 😀

Dropped in for coffee. My latte was the strangest latte I've ever had. My OH's Flat white was so milky it resembled the milky coffee my mum used to make us in the 50s. Nothing like a flat white.
We have just paid £16.00 per person for afternoon tea which consisted of 1 cheese 1 ham 1 cucumber & egg mayo finger sandwich 1 small scone cream & jam 1 cupcake & a macaroon. We had to share the small plate of crisps. Pot of cold tea. Totally ripped off. Given a box to pack our cupcakes ourselves. Would... More
I went yesterday with my mum, and the service was great and so was the food! Everywhere seemed really clean (including the toilet!). The staff were really attentive and friendly. Definitely will be coming here again!
Where do I start? 25 minutes wait for food when the place was quiet? 20 minute wait for drinks? Cup cakes were hideously sweet. The fish sandwich we finally received was meagre. When I arrived and stood at the counter, I was told 3 times 'Ill be with you in a minute' then when they finally took my order, they... More
I came with my boyfriend for a quick drink pit stop. I had a hot chocolate and as a hot chocolate snob, it's the best I've tasted in a long while. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Will definitely come again.
I was expecting great things here and I have to say we enjoyed the best GF scones ever. But we'd both finished our hot drinks before our scones arrived which was really disappointing. The decor is jolly with an Alice through the looking glass theme hinted at throughout but I found the service just a bit flat. Perhaps we didn't... More
Visited for afternoon tea with my husband and 9 year old step daughter. Fab, quirky venue with lots of lovely little touches. Friendly, helpful staff. Child friendly with a child sized afternoon tea available. You get to choose your own cupcake or slice for the top tier which is a nice touch and masses of choice...the Rocky Road slice is... More
Without a shadow of a doubt this place is brilliant. The tea shop is wonderfully quirky and the decor adds to the very special feel of the place. The cakes and the selection of teas is out of this world. My wife and I stopped off for afternoon tea, we both had the cream tea, (choose the warm scones they... More
After staying over in Chester for a night we thought we'd try having afternoon tea before traveling home. We were lucky to get a table as we hadn't booked (a few other people left as they had no tables free). Although the initial service taking the order was good and drinks quick, we had to wait a very long time... More

Hello :) Could anyone help me please - Im visiting Chester next Saturday & I'm wondering if you have to book for afternoon tea here? I really would love to visit here but I'm afraid of it being too busy by just showing up unannounced. Also, what do the prices range from with the afternoon tea?
