Artichoke is a very fine place serving good food in a nice location (in the old steam mill). Pizzas and salads were really tasty. Fair prices and friendly staff but they need to work on the noise level.

We are very fortunate to live very close to Chester and we pop in quite regularly, and for a good lunch, we always prefer Artichoke. The food is well presented, the staff are friendly and efficient and the flavoured beers are very nice. We have partaken of the amazing 3 course Sunday lunch, be prepared, it is very large and... I went for the homemade soup of the day with freshly baked bread for starters. Beautiful. Lovely presentation as well, which is key for me! I then opted for... More

Visiting Chester for the first time and walking along the canal thought the Artichoke menu looked interesting. Enquired about a reservation and got the last table for that evening. On our return, warmly welcomed by name, service was excellent (attentive, but not intrusive), menu was indeed interesting and the food was excellent. We were seated in the bar area which... More
