Arrived at the restaurant, seemed a lovely homely kind of place. Found a table to sit down at, waited a couple of minutes for the waiter to come and order the drinks. Received drinks and ordered the food at the same time. Bit of a delay with the food which was understandable with it being a Sunday, which the waiter... More

Nice location, called in on Friday evening after spending the day on a hire boat moored by the pub. Very nice inside and good menu. Decided to book for sunday evening. Told we would have table by window. When we arrived didn`t seem to know this and seated elsewhere. I and my husband had roast beef, (stringy). Our friend enjoyed... More

I went for a meal last week with 3 friends. We all enjoyed great food in a relaxed atmosphere. It was busy but the lady who served us was very friendly. I had the spicy cousin cousin salad with halloumi and it was one of the best meals I've had with lots of halloumi. I'll be back to have that... More

We visited here on reccomendation from other people we met on our narrowboat holiday and were very pleased we did. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Food was excellent and good value on the fixed price menu. All our meals were excellent and dessert was so large that we had to share between two. Our waiter Kriss was very friendly... More

We spotted the sign for the Cheshire Cat on the way in to Chester and identified it as potentially a good place to enjoy our evening meal on the way home. Arriving around 4.30pm on a Sunday afternoon with the late afternoon turning ever sunnier, we found the car park almost full and the outside benches well occupied. It didn’t... More

I have ate at this pub/restaurant on several occasions both in the evening and at lunchtimes and its always busy. I suspect you would need to book for a Friday or Saturday night and for a Sunday lunch/dinner. Part of the Vintage Inn chain, the service is generally pretty good, the food is probably better than average but not up... More

Myself and my friend had a brilliant 4 day stay at the Cheshire Cat. Rooms were clean and the staff really friendly and professional, going out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The food was delicious and the service friendly and welcoming. Will defintely be going back for a visit! Highly recommended!
