We decided to break our long journey to Anglesey, by coming off the A55 to look for lunch at a non- fast food establishment. After a couple of miles, we chanced upon the Millstone. We received a very friendly welcome to a large, well appointed restaurant/pub. Food was very good, including childrens meals and the outside decking area was a... More

If you order something in this establishment that you dont like, you have 2 choices... Either you eat it or pay for it regardless! This is what happen to me, long story short, meal was reasonable, when ordered desserts, me and my mother in law did not like the Creme brulle so we send it back and explained to waitress... More

Just had an excellent Sunday Lunch for two here, without booking we were welcomed and served drinks immediately. Main courses were served after 10/15 minutes, but I believe good food is worth waiting for. A quick service suggests it has been under a hot lamp for a while. Nice staff, good real ale and reasonable price - what more can... More

We chose the Millstone to celebrate a family 70th birthday as we have always had fantastic food and service when dining here. We were not disappointed! The whole experience was seemless from the booking through to the evening. Beckie helped us at every stage of the preparations and was so helpful. The room looked lovely with the balloons supplied by... More

Went for auntie's 50th. Got a few drinks as well as some food. All the staff were really welcoming and helpful. Plus the food was delicious!

You might be forgiven if you drove past the outside of the premises and didn't give it a second glance, looking somewhat like an old village public house (which of course is what it used to be). However, you would miss out if you did just drive past, as the inside has been beautifully decorated, with a lovely airy feel... More

A last minuet decision to go out for dinner to the best pub restaurant in the area, very well priced. Please do not be put off by another comment stating that the time you wait for food is too long. If you want a fresh well presented meal then it will take a little while so please be patient and... More

Family treat with bang tidy food, reasonable table service and final bill was surprisingly gvfm. Maybe a little more rapport from the front of house staff would improve the overall experience but didn't detract from a cracking Wensleydale cheese or two....

Having been a couple of times now ,with both friends and family we feel this needs pointing out to TripAdvisor readers ,by all means enjoy good food in a lovely restaurant, but the service time and time again is poor ,cannot point the finger at the young front of house staff ,who beaver away with drinks and orders ,but the... When I left Penyffordd 35 years ago this was a not very smart pub, putting it kindly. We went for dinner on a busy Friday night and it has been transformed into an amazing gastro pub. The cooking is to a very high standard, the menu and wine list is extensive and the attention to detail in every ingredient and... More
