Delicious food and wonderful service. Lovely ambiance in the upstairs Thai restaurant. The teppanyaki is downstairs and this would be for larger parties who enjoy the food cooked in front of them but for couples I would say the Thai is the best.

Just spent a few days in Chester and dined at the restaurant on our first night (Monday) I have mobility problems and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We chose the Thai section which was on the top floor and was ushered to the lift and then politely shown to a table by the window. We ordered a set banquet which was promptly served. It was hot and extremely tasty. Plenty of prawns and other meats. All in all, a very enjoyable experience.

Visited for a friends birthday, staff were great, food was super and the chef was super entertaining. We all had a really great time. I have given it 4* because they add 10% service charge which they don’t tell you about and when you’re already paying £400 for food I don’t expect another £40 to be added on but I would potentially go again as it was really tasty.

We sat in the teppanyaki section of the restaurant, this was underwhelming and the chefs did not perform as many ‘’tricks’’ expected when visiting a teppanyaki restaurant. The duck was severely undercooked and was rather tasteless (this meat is poultry, and therefore can be dangerous if not cooked correctly). The staff working on 23/11/24 came across as quite rude and seemed unbothered in delivering quality hospitality. Despite coming in with a gluten allergy, I was not asked if I had any food allergies before ordering which could have extremely dangerous for me. Gluten including meals were cooked on the same grill, exposing my meal to cross-contamination with other ingredients.

The Tepanyaki here is pretty good, but could very easily be much better. The "Siam" potatoes were a complete waste of time, simply sliced potato cooked on the hotplate, bland nothing "Siam" or anything else about them. A thick onion slice on the hotplate, not even caramelised or spiced, hopeless. Asparagus and courgette pretty good. Fillet steak would have been much better thinly sliced, marinated and cooked on the hotplate for a few seconds. Fried rice excellent. Jumbo prawns excellent. The chef should really think more about what he's cooking, very easy to take things to a much higher level. Won't be rushing back.

Vegetarians be warned, you run the risk of having pieces of meat in your dish….we have visited and had takeaways in the past without issue. The last was a takeaway and my worst nightmare. I had the beancurd with Thai green curry and my partner beef massaman. I was tucking into mine when I noticed a piece of chicken on my folk. I was both horrified and upset having been a veggie for 14 years. Telephoned the restaurant, they apologised and refunded the cost of both meals. I understand mistakes happen however, I won’t be returning.

Having frequented this restaurant on numerous occasions, I have always really enjoyed the food, Always fresh & very tasty. The PadThai is my favourite. However, I’m sad to say that on this occasion, it was very much below standard. Although it tasted ok , it resembled toddler food! The chicken was over cooked & broken up & the hard to see noodles were about an inch long!! It was obvious to me that a big Vat of this had been cooked all in one go. Portions had then been taken out & reheated in the wok ! Why ??? This dish takes minutes to make from fresh !! If they are worried about the fuel bill , I would rather see a slight increase in price rather than cutting corners & reducing the high food standards that I’m used to from this restaurant. Yes … I will be going back !! I made a complaint whilst at the restaurant & hopefully they will make positive changes to rectify the matter.

Have visited this restaurant a few times in the past few months for Thai, the food and service has been consistently excellent each time. Visited last night for my son's 12th birthday treat, and this time we booked for the Teppan Yaki (which myself and hubby have done here before, albeit 16 years ago!😳). We had a fantastic time, food was absolutely stunning, my son and his friend loved the ' show' by the chef and his night was topped off with a birthday ice cream dessert😋. Thank you Siam, we most definitely will be back!

What an incredible experience, we went to the Teppanyaki dinner with 2 other couples so we made up half the table but there were couples as well all sat on a large square horseshoe table, if that makes sense, with a chef in the centre cooking on a large grill. You ordered exactly what you wanted and the accuracy and quality of cooking was amazing. Add the theatre of the chef with his comedy antics and juggling skills including audience participation made it a dining experience second to none. If you want a romantic quiet dinner, its not the place but if you want a unique dining experience with high quality food and wine then give it a go, you won't regret it.

Very easy to find beautiful converted warehouse . Thai restaurant upstairs, Teppanyaki restaurant downstairs. Staff brilliant and very friendly. We had one of the set menus in the Teppanyaki at £38 a head, in hindsight for us this was too much food. Taking tips from people around us it’s better to eat off the a la carte. The chefs are great and a real laugh. Catching eggs in his hat and flicking fried potatoes. Wonderful to watch the skills with very sharp nice.

A group of us went to the Teppanyaki for daughters 21st birthday. The chef was brilliant, lots of ‘tricks’ keeping us all entertained while he cooked our food in front of us. The Prawns and Salmon were cooked to perfection and the steak just melt in our mouths. All in all a wonderful evening

We were staying locally for a weekend mini break down the canal nearby at the Mill Hotel and Spa, so it’s not far at all to walk to, We booked in advance and we’re surprised how busy it was, this being a good sign as not everyone can get it wrong!! We were seated upstairs past what is the Japanese Teppanyaki restaurant on the ground floor, i hadn’t seen anything like this before 3 chefs cooking at the tables of 3 or 4 separate groups of dinners, each serving them directly to they’re plates, I’ve gotta to return to try this. Upstairs things were again busy, we’re we’re seated quickly with the staff being very efficient and quick, a bottle of the house red wine which was really good, me and my wife each had starters my wife the money bags (I wish) and I had the salt and pepper squid, mine was quite big for a starter to be honest but both were amazing, for the main course I had the stir fried garlic and pepper mixed seafood and my wife the stir fried oyster sauce with chicken, basically you choose what meat or fish dish you want then add it to the type of dish it’s made with, both were again really good, as we had starters and the portions were quite big we actually then shared a special noodles, which for us was perfect the hungrier might want to order another side option to accompany their main dish as it is recommended to do although I couldn’t see this on the menu, The food was fantastic as was the service and the location even though it was busy, they obviously have the quality and regimented service down to a T so a big thumbs up from us. Good value as well my wife’s Chicken dish was £11.50 and my seafood a bit more at £16.50, with the side dish of noodles prices at £4.25, given the chance if I was local this would be my regular restaurant of choice, shame it’s over 120 miles away!!

Visited for a birthday meal with my partner. We opted for the 'Emperor' set menu which was great value for money. The service team were very helpful and friendly, and the teppanyaki chefs were amazing. An awesome experience overall and we hope to return soon and bring along some friends, too. Thanks for a great time!
