About
Pizzeria Famosa is a unique, artisan Pizzeria serving gourmet, Neapolitan style pizzas. Our product is incomparable with other pizzerias in Jersey. The dough is made in house using our own yeast, 72 hours levitation process and is stretched using special Neapolitan technique. Pizzas are prepared with the finest ingredients, best equipment and baked in a brick oven at 450 degrees which all contribute to a remarkable product that is light, easy to digest and full of aroma. In addition to pizzas the restaurant is serving various starters, drinks, desserts and handmade pastas "Taste the difference - we don't cut corners, we make everything the authentic Italian way"

The most friendly location on the island which was so very welcome with the general “attitude” we have found here since landing.
This resto answers the phone!!! It made a booking on the phone, had a warm welcome and friendly attentive service and then went the extra mile by serving up in the fastest times wonderful fresh pizza with exception ingredients.
Hygiene factors in this pizzeria are the highest and everyone was full of smiles and such great value.
LOVE THIS PLACE !!!

Sourdough is apparently the recipe for success at Pizza Famosa. It's left to mature for 72 hours. The result is pizzas with big fluffy crusts, cooked to perfection.
My quattro stagioni was probably the best I can remember, and - odd as it may seem - better than you get in Italy. It's worth noting that the toppings weren't served conventionally in four quarters but mixed up across the whole pizza. Even though I hadn't come across this before with a quattro stagioni, I actually preferred it, especially as the tangy taste of the anchovies was diffused.
I enjoyed watching the chefs at work theatrically twirling the dough in the open plan kitchen. But there wasn't much time to admire their handiwork. Service is very efficient and the pizzas arrived remarkably promptly, considering how busy the restaurant was on both our visits.
Because of Covid track and trace regulations you're asked to give your name and phone number on arrival. I see some previous reviewers have interpreted this negatively, but I'd say the restaurant is right to follow the rules properly while others don't bother.

When on holiday or travelling one sometimes requires feeding. Nothing complicated but quality produce well prepared and presented. If you find yourself feeling a little chilly in St Helier then consider Famosa.
We were the first customers of the evening before six o'clock, though the room was filling up as the evening wore on. The welcome was warm and we swiftly sat at a table close to the pizza ovens. Our chills disappeared.
Authentic italian food followed - creamy burrata on pizza base, wafer thin braesola with rocket and parmesan followed by delicious fluffy base pizza was just too much but no complaints there from us.
The staff were attentive, the ambience was excellent, management was busy cleaning everything. Recommended.

Pizzeria Famosa is known for their amazing pizzas. And the food I cannot fault. However I only recommend takeaway - have it at home, take it down the beach whatever. Just don’t eat in.
First the restaurant has no soul. It’s spacey and cold with no atmosphere.
I understand that the restaurant is trying to adhere to Covid guidelines, however our service was below average. The guidelines state that if you order and alcoholic drink you must order food. Which we did. However, the staff would not serve our drinks until our food arrived, meaning we had to sit with masks on waiting for everything to arrive at once. On top of this, our pizzas took over an hour to arrive which isn’t acceptable despite circumstances. Not once did the staff come over to ask if we were ok, wanted any water or apologise for the delay. Meanwhile with two pregnant women at our table and a bunch of very hungry girls, I admit we nearly walked out. Every other restaurant I’ve been to will we’ve thé drinks as soon as you’ve placed your order.
Pretty disappointed with the experience but cannot fault the food.

We ate here on our second night, the staff were friendly and helpful about the different pizzas.
We both had the bruschetta, which was made with a garlic pizza dough which was very tasty. For the mains we both had pizza which were exceptional, the dough was light and fluffy with a crispy base. I had the La Piccante which was hot and spicy with extra chilli oil, and my partner had Bresaola. For desert we both had the tiramisu which came in a glass, it was more of a chocolate flavour rather than coffee but still very good, all washed down with a bottle of rose wine.
If you are in St Helier eat here and you will not be disappointed.

Visited this restaurant twice during the week that we were on Jersey for business reasons. Partner struggles to find places to dine that cater for her strict gluten free needs.
The staff at the Pizzeria Formosa couldn't do enough to help....and in her own words "It's the best GF pizza that l have ever eaten".
We were even given their suppliers details in Italy should we wish to bulk buy the ready made dough that they order in from there.
I don't have any dietary needs and l have to say my pizzas were awesome, along with the excellent customer service by the gentleman that served us both times.
Glad we only had the mains as it filled us both up with no room for something from their excellent looking dessert menu.
A must to visit if you are a pizza fan and like to see them cooked in the open oven in front of you, that smell is something to die for as they cooked.
We will return when back on the island, thankyou team.

Early evening flighted delayed into Jersey on a Monday evening, before checking in to hotel I wanted something quick, but tasty and La Picante pizza did the trick. By myself as only on Jersey for little over 24 hours, I was well looked after by the the staff. The pizza was tasty, not too spicy and perfect for my needs.

This has become our favourite piazza restaurant.
The food is fresh and really tasty, the staff are attentive but not overly so. Nothing is too much trouble.
Everything is clean and inviting.
Just a good place to eat and relax.
And they are vegan friendly.

Terrible dining experience.
To begin we were sat between two other tables of two, within a few inches of each other, so impossible to have a private conversation. They need to reduce the number of covers they serve.
Ordered garlic bread for a starter, edges incinerated.
Ordered two pizzas for the mains, crust incinerated.
Ordered a glass of red wine when first seated, after the food came, the staff never returned to our table. I had to go and find a member of staff to order another drink.
Never returning.

Firstly I should say that the pizza was very good indeed, and the atmosphere was just right, we all enjoyed that aspect. We turned up as a walk-in on the off chance they had a table and to be fair to the manager he accommodated us but boy were we treat like a problem from then on. From where we were seated to the curt interactions when ordering, even the kids remarked on this. We get you’re busy but when I’m busy at work I still have to treat all customers the same. Looking at reviews we’re not the first to remark on his attitude. Instead of huffing and puffing just explain that you’re busy and that things will take a little longer, that’s fine, no problem, we’re not there for a fast food experience. Thankfully a young lady who’d started that day was on hand to up the service level and keep the peace. As I said the food was good but not sure we’d go again or recommend for dining in.

Have eaten here before but this is the first review, staff are super friendly and it’s a nice restaurant, like that you can see the kitchen. Went for the margarita pizza as this is how I judge every pizza place. The pizza looked great and the crust was lovely, it lacked a little in flavour and I wasn’t that keen on the cheese, still a good pizza and I would come back. Worth a visit.

Saw this pizzeria on the bus ride from the airport to our hotel and found it later on our walk to the harbour. Decided to give it a try. They put two tables together as there was 6 of us and we ordered drinks which came very quickly. Ordered from the pizza and pasta menus. Lasagne was a little dry and mainly tomato sauce, no obvious bechamel. However, it was delicious. Staff were friendly, helpful and happy to chat. Returned again 2 days later as all the harbour restaurants were fully booked (Friday night). Another warm welcome from the staff and another great meal of pizzas and carbonara pasta this time. The pizzas are huge, loved by those who had them, and the pasta dishes small but delicious and just enough. Tiramasu and panna cotta are to die for! Everything freshly made on the premises. Highly recommended.

This is one of the very best pizzas I've had in a long time believe me. I wanted a spicy pizza and I got a spicy pizza !! Plus a lovely chili oil as a side which I thoroughly enjoyed. I didn't dine within and had a take away, but you can dine within a very nice restaurant. Children are most welcome as well with a children's menu available. The staff are friendly and most welcoming with nothing being to much trouble which is always nice in this day and age. I'll be using this restaurant a lot more often from now on I can assure you.

Pizza not cooked and soggy, burnt on the top, burnt on the bottom, with undercooked toppings and broken, we sent it back and the chef said that was how it should cooked!?? Seriously!???although we were very hungry we decided not to eat there and were not charged for the pizza. Negroni for ÂŁ11 was disappointing, with lemon as a garnish and wrong measurements. Such a shame as it was a great place before!

Came here with family for my daughters 20th birthday. Service was prompt and our server was polite. The menu isn’t extensive and is mainly pizzas and a few pasta dishes. The Pizza is freshly made in front of you by the chefs. My Pizza was full of taste and the dough was cooked well on top and not too soggy. The general consensus from our party of 9 was that the Pizzas were enjoyed as were the pasta dishes. An all round enjoyable evening.
