I booked a meal for my partners birthday on Christmas Eve, 2021. In spite of being disappointed that we could not order what we wanted we loved the meal which we chose. It was fabulous. The ambience is always good and it us a pleasure...to be there. It has a lovely location too I would recommend the restaurant to everyone.More

I’ve eaten here numerous times recently, mainly because of their very good vegan menu (it’s not a vegan restaurant but they are modern & forward thinking enough to cater for vegans too - not that I’m a vegan but I just enjoy vegan food). The...food is always excellent with good portion sizes & the service is excellent. So many restaurants are struggling at the moment due to Covid/Brexit etc which has created a short staffed situation, but this restaurant appears to be fully staffed (if they are short staffed than they are doing a great job because this doesn’t filter down to the experience of their customers). I always find the prices to be very competitive & you really do get great value for money. Highly recommended.More

From me: Wine was lovely, cocktails delicious, especially the entertainment provided by the bar staff in serving the drinks (Sardinia style!) Food was delicious and really enjoyed the a la carte fish and chips. The salmon and prawn skewers were also great. All dishes plate...finished clean! We arrived before the kitchen opened, but had some great cocktails and banter while waiting for our table. Truly stuffed by the end! Waiters, waitress and kitchen staff all need a good thank you! From him: Too much alcohol in the cocktails and wine bottle too big (err hem)... Person sat next to me was stealing all the good bits of my food (not fair)... Chairs too comfy so I need a nap...More

Terrible. We booked online on Sunday night for dinner on Tuesday. Called multiple times on Tuesday to confirm booking only to be told 1 hr before meeting friends that they hadn’t looked at the bookings but were fully booked and there wasn’t any space. Terrible...service, wouldn’t bother even trying them. Very disappointed. Don’t look at there vacancies online as they are wrong. Go somewhere else.More

We ate at Mora a few years ago on a previous trip to Guernsey and so decided we'd try it again. I booked online, admittedly quite late in the day, but didn't receive a confirmation that the table was booked. We thought we'd try our...luck anyway, and wandered over to the restaurant around 6pm. We stood at the entrance for a few minutes and after being studiously ignored we went to Christies instead. Staff may be busy, but they can acknowledge potential guests. Disappointing. Someone else said that staff shortages were having an impact on service. Clearly.More

An ok restaurant but nothing special. Was told they had no cauliflower with a sauce so was. Cajoled ! Into having broccoli instead…. The broccoli was raw and could not eat it. If I wanted raw vegetables I would have ordered a salad. Not every...one wants raw veggies. I am a good chef and cook myself. It would have been good to have been ask asked as to how I like my veg, like your steak being done. Shall not rush back especially as to what they charge. Thanks.More

We dine at Mora at least once whenever we visit Guernsey, and on this occasion we ate there twice. The downstairs part of the premises is essentially a bar area and the restaurant upstairs is very different. There is a good selection on the menu,...the food is good and there is a wide choice on the wine list. In common with many restaurants, Mora was struggling more than a little because of staff shortages and this did impact on the service - we were having to stop waiters who were rushing past in order to make our requirement known. There is a balance to be struck in such circumstances betwen reducing the number of table available (which hits profits hard) and letting customers be inconvenienced, and they went for the latter route. Even so, we enjoyed our visits.More

Nice little bistro overlooking the port. A decent menu with well prepared and good value food. A busy evening but food served quickly and efficiently

An excellent evening. The best table with a view over the marina. The seafood paella was delicious and the service first class. Definitely need to pre-book.

Superb food, service and ambience. Stunning harbour views, attentive and friendly staff. It is important to book well into advance, it is so popular.

Dropped by for an informal lunch. Good service and the food came quickly. Light fish and chips was so fresh and cooked to a perfect outside crisp whilst still moist inside. Vodka and watermelon cocktail was really refreshing. I didn’t order the seafood paella which...looked sumptuous and smelt succulent.More

Booked table but none available when we arrived so we had to wait a while. A lot of food items were unavailable and unfortunately they were what we went there for when we had looked at the menu in advance of booking. Some due to...Guernsey reopening to UK this weekend so possibly a bit unfortunate as they didn’t really know what to expect. Staff were friendly although the service was also slow. Food we had was ok but nothing to get excited about.More

The food here was very good. However, the noise level from a party was totally unacceptable. Having asked the waiter 3 times to fetch the manager to kindly ask the party to slightly reduce the noise level. No manager ever appeared. Having been told by...Christian (waiter) he would do nothing about it we decided to leave. There is no way Christian with his attitude should have anything to do with the public. On a positive note the waitress was first class and excellent at her job My advice is to find elsewhere to dine where everyone is treated the same where you can hear your wife speak. Needless to say we will never return to this restaurant again.More

Went here last night. Nice ambience, friendly attentive staff. Some parts of the meal very nice, BUT. The menu is limited, so you would expect everything on there to be well executed. My partner and I both ordered fillet steak at £25 without sides. I...asked for mine rare, my partner medium rare. Both came fully, thoroughly, well done. Grey meat, no moisture at all. While there were some fun good elements to the evening, dropping £50 on ruined meat took the edge off for me. A shame. Rock Garden next time, I’m afraid.More
