At £5.95 a sandwich I expected a bit more than grated cheap cheese between slices of supermarket bread. I was expecting artisan bread with mature local cheese or something like that. Panini too was cheap plastic ham and cheese. £15.50 for 2 sarnie and 2 teas. I felt robbed. I always try to use local cafes rather than the big... More

We came here for cream tea as looked nice and reasonably priced. The cherry scones were enormous and very tasty; served with jam and clotted cream. We also had a pot of tea. The other reviews are very harsh!I can understand the comments about crockery stacked up and lack of staff interaction, but I think this is due to lack... More

Lovely little place but the service was extremely slow. We ordered a tuna panini, but it took 40 mins to arrive. What was intended to be a quick lunch was definitely not. The panini wasn't even that great... wouldn't go again .

Reasonable food, reasonable prices. No vegetarian options other than a jacket potato. The staff just lacked basic customer service skills. You wondered if they really wanted to be there to serve you or to be helpful in any way. Pity as that's all that let it down.

Went with friend's for afternoon tea; service was excellent. The food was freshly made and we had a good choice of fillings for sandwiches and choice of which bread we wanted. I had a Cherry Scone with jam and cream, while my friends both had the lemon cake which they said was delicious. We had free refills on the tea... More

Unfortunately I had not read the reviews on this establishment because if I had I would not have stepped foot in this place. I totally agree with all the bad reviews. The cheese scones were stale and rock hard not fresh. The customer service was very poor was told to order in the shop yet one table was having their order... More

Visited here recently and wish I had chosen somewhere else to have lunch. I ordered a sandwich and a drink. Originally this was to take away and would have come to £4 or so until I then decided to eat in instead. It then increase to around £7! This is clearly a ridiculous increase to eat in, for the same... More

I took my mum here for afternoon tea as a treat, but definitely wasted my money. The tea was cold and the cakes were stale. I had booked a table with them, but when we arrived nothing was set up. We were eventually shown to a table upstairs in a room which needed decorating and a good clean wouldn't have... More

Food undercooked, not difficult to get a jacket potato right, when sent back came back over cooked in the microwave. Tables dirty and dirty crockery left everywhere. Service slap happy, toilet dirty and would not have attempted to eaten here if I had seen these before ordering food. Overall needs a good clean and staff need training on curtesy. never... More

Went here for coffee and a snack , it's not the place to go if you are in a hurry . There is a cafe and a shop linked and not enough staff running both ! . Also there was an outside catering van loading up as well .Obviously 3 different areas of the business under the same name .I... More
