I stayed here for one night having not stayed over at the Lamb for some years. I had one of the newly refurbished courtyard rooms. It was lovely and a massive improvement on the old rooms. The bathroom was lovely and the bed and linens super. It was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was good and the staff friendly. The croissants were... More

Nothing to rave about, average food and the service was ok. The bar area is quite nice if you wanted a quiet drink with a decent selection of beers.

I have eaten here before and was very impressed. However on this visit I was left disappointed . My wife and I called in for lunch on a Saturday . Restaurant not very busy and we found our table easily. Lonely and varied menu. However, it took over 40 minutes for our food to arrive and when it did the... More

A really good gin and tonic, the boys had lager and another had a lovely glass merlot. The atmosphere was good and we enjoyed our drinks - its was pretty quiet being a Sunday evening and we enjoyed the experience :)

This was one of the worst Sunday lunches I have ever had. The roast beef ordered by two of the party was inedible as was the pork loin which consisted of two small anaemic pieces of pre sliced meat. Neither beef or pork were carved from a joint. The stuffing balls were so hard and over cooked that they were... More

I telephoned Saturday night at 1850 and asked to book a table for two for Sunday lunch at 1300 to 1330. The girl who I spoke to said they could do either so we opted for 1330. She asked if it was the standard or festive menu and I said we would want the standard menu. She took my name... More
