Without doubt the worst Indian take away I’ve ever had. Firstly the madras was missing. When I opened my korma I couldn’t see the chicken. When I found it there were six small pieces. The meal itself was tasteless. I’ve never had to put salt...on Indian food before. The chicken was dry and rubbery. When the madras eventually arrived my son took one mouthful and threw the rest away.
Completely ruined our family tea.More
Me and my girlfriend were extremely excited to indulge in a tasty takeaway from Ely Spice HOWEVER this did NOT go to plan. After taking out time to carefully select our favourite dishes we sat down to watch a film to try to distract ourselves....We ended up waiting almost 2 hours still no food in sight. This resulted to us calling and asking where our order might be and we were told there were “loads” of calls we had missed which was not the case as we were watching the film on said phone. We called again as there was ONE missed call that came through as we asked where the food was on the previous call and then our order was cancelled! Not happy! Laughable customer service, as soon as the words ‘money off’ were mentioned BOOM! ORDER CANCELLED. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND >:(More
Finally found a good one with delivery to Soham. Great curry , friendly on the phone, and remembered me from week before to sort out missing Naan. Keeps the mrs happy with this great takeaway. Hopefully will continue
First time visit end of July 2020. Very good service. I ordered 20 minutes before opening time and picked it up on the dot at 5pm. The food was well packaged and tasted fantastic. Staff were v pleasant and polite. I’ll be going again
Decided to give Ely Spice a try after my usual Indian takeaway is now charging £3 delivery and .40p service charge. Unfortunately, delivery took 1hr and 35mins. Food was ok but the portions are very small, I had to get a naan bread out of...the freezer as the one they sent was small and thin, no good for two people to share.
There are other Indian Restaurants I will order from in the future.More
We’ve ordered again hoping that this time will be better... Service rude, food tasted awful. Vindaloo had more potatoes than meat. Onion bhaji so small, not worth the money, same with the onion salad, very little in the plastic bag... Mixed Tandoori grill- £10 for...dry chicken leg and couple of pieces of meat...There is definitely few chefs as every time food is different. Waitrose Indian takeaway taste so much better! That was last time Ely Spice.More
