Bad food , Bad service. 30 minute wait for food. A typical Cambridge experience, having moved here recently and still trying to find some decent restaurant food. Expensive for what you get.

Good south Indian Cuisine in Cambridge. Authentic south Indian taste and good quality. Slightly expensive. Staff needs training - to be more welcoming.

We really want to love this place as some of the food is delicious. However we always come away wishing that there was at least some atmosphere in the main dining room. We recently dined there after a two year gap hoping that things would have improved, with the proprietors having got the message that having a single dining room... More

Not bad at all. Good Keralan food in a lovely spot. Restaurant a bit shabby and service a bit slow, but well worth a visit!

This is a fantastic discovery hidden away behind the mill pond. The food is from Kerala and is Indian like no other Indian. If in doubt order one of the Thali's (veggie or meat) ... you get several dishes to try. The lamb is stunning ... melt in the mouth (no chewy bits here). Very highly recommended

The quality of food is inconsistent - varies from delicious to awful. Same with the servings, completely inconsistent, one day you may get a bowl full of curry enough to share with another person, on another you may get a half portion, barely enough for one person - of course always charged at the same (pretty high) cost. The one... More

Th Rice Boat has now become a Cambridge institution and its Kerala food is popular. The menu is wide, with meat, seafood and vegetables as well as appams, parothas and various kinds of rice. The food is excellent, even for someone like me from Kerala, and a meal there is a welcome change from food in other Indian restaurants.

I cannot fault the serving staff - they were very friendly, wlecoming and helpful. The restaurant was unpretentious but very attractive with no background music. We went there on a cold, wet June (!) day - just in the mood for a curry. It was great to be offered Kerala dishes that do not usually feature on Indian menus -... More

I went there on a Sunday afternoon, so the place was empty, except for us.. We didnt have any issues with the service, the lady was polite , the place was beautifully kept . The food however was very, very expensive and good. The quantity was meagre, curries hardly enough for two. the selection was very limited as well. You... More

Have been several times for lunch and tend to stick to snacky things like masala dosa and mixed starter platters. Excellent access via the back for wheelchairs and helpful staff. My mother who has travelled a lot in India really enjoys the masala tea.
