We went to this beautifully located restaurant as a treat for dinner. It is only a tasting menu, so there's no a la carte option, but they will make adjustments for dietary requirements if you let them know. The whole meal was an entire exquisite dining experience. The front of house is as highly deserved of praise as are the... More

Our son kindly took us out to lunch here recently to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and we were certainly not disappointed. The five course menu plus the cheese course proved plenty for a leisurely three hour lunch! From start to finish we were well looked after. The service is attentive without being overbearing, and the food has to be tasted... More

Had a family lunch to celebrate my dad's birthday. The food was amazing, the service was excellent and we enjoyed coffee outside in the garden afterwards. It was the perfect afternoon. Highly recommended.

From the point you walk in the door you can tell that Midsummer House is one of those special sorts of restaurant. Hushed tones, occasional gasps of surprise, emanate from the conservatory dining room as waiters silently deliver the chef's d'oeuvres to tables. The food is amazing. Beautifully put together, subtle and surprising flavour combinations, well thought through menu. Beyond... More

Without doubt the very best restaurant in Cambridge. Daniel Clifford is an inspired chef whose food lingers in your mind for ever. Eating here is an experience not to be missed. Th setting by the river and the service are also excellent

We came here for a special meal and we weren't disappointed. The food was amazing and the service was second to none with a few theatrics. It's expensive but worth splashing out.

Just as everyone should once in their life visit the Alhambra, if you live in Cambridge you should dine at Midsummer House at least once.

Had last year's birthday dinner here and I was apprehensive - but it delivered on so many fronts - a mini show in itself with the waiters and waitresses giving their own performances, the food was extremely cheffy and quite rich but spectacular. A couple of the 7 courses we had were to die for! All in all a great... More

Having visited many Michelin star restaurants over the years this was by far one of the ones we've looked forward to for a while.......it's safe to say that not one thing dissapointed. From the greeting at the gate to the farewell at the end of the night everything was fantastic! All the tasting menu was flawless but I must say... More

We had high expectations going in and, if anything, it over-achieved. As you would expect, the food was outstanding...but so was the service (friendly and efficient, without a hint of being pretentious). The tables were well spaced, and the atmosphere was relaxed. It's hard to pick a single 'stand out' dish as each course was difficult to fault. Having eaten... More
