Decided to try The Bridge after a bit of a gap. Lovely setting, of course, right on the river cam and a pretty garden. However, my heart sank when presented with a very large menu - never a good sign. Hey it was Friday and I reckoned stick with something standard as less likely to be microwaved. Ordered fish and... The Bridge is a pub / restaurant located close to the river. It makes for a beautiful setting (especially on a sunny day) and it has a nice rustic feel inside. The menu offers a variety of meals to suit all, however, sometimes the service is slower than slow and this can overshadow the experience. Worth a visit to check... More

The food was delicious. There were nice decoration inside the pub and lovely river view outside. Recommend to go there in a lovely day eating and drinking outside.

Very helpful in seating us to accommodate a mobility scooter. Friendly and helpful staff. Good service and food. Not hurried. Recommend

Every time we visit this pub, and we like to come here a lot for birthdays, it is always a very enjoyable and pleasant visit. All of the staff are very welcoming and friendly, and food is of good value with excellent portion size and quality. It also has a great setting next to the river. We would definitely recommend... UNBELIEVEABLY slow service, staff were polite and apologetic, food was only just ok. Shame really because great location next to the river.

How about this..... I ordered a medium/rare sirloin steak. It arrived cooked on one side to about half a centimetre and not even cooked at all on the other side ! It wasn't just rare it was blue. It was so tough it was inedible as was my colleague's sirloin. The really strange thing about this was when I told... More

One person manning the bar taking both food and drink orders, several waitresses taking drinks to the table but NOT servicing the bar… I waited ten minutes hoping to get a soft drink (cycling) but the very long queue at the bar did not move, due to the single bar staff taking a large food order… Understaffed, poorly organized and... We came for an Anniversary meal in the evening on a Thursday night. The waitress was lovely & friendly but it was fairly busy so she was quite pushed. We waited 35 mins for the starters and another 35 mins after we'd finished those for our mains. The chicken burger was over cooked / tough around edges but no other... More

Shame such a beautiful pub is let down by mediocre grub and repeatedly slow service! We went for Sunday lunch cos we had a voucher and we can take the dog! It was average a few slithers of cabbage and one bit of broccoli followed by a overcooked yorkshire and a luke warm dinner! We had 10quid off so thought... More
