Totally shocked after reading such positive reviews. Just eaten here. Service was terrible with staff only interested in talking to friends. The food was possibly the worst attempt at Mexican food I have ever eaten. If you want quality do not go here. After we...binned our food and warm beer we discovered a fantastic taco van and had a proper meal.More

Went with friends on the Friday evening. There was three girls working, they seemed nice at the beginning, but after they took our order they started to talk in Spanish. Luckily one of us could understand and it was so unprofessional to talk, sorry for...expression, s**t about us IN FRONT OF OUR FACES! Haven't seen such a rude staff ever! Not going back to Regent Street Nanna Mexico even again definitely!More

Some of the blandest food I've eaten in a long time. A spicy salsa was just a runny red liquid which no flavour. The burritos were just bland vegetables wrapped up - no herbs, spices of flavour. Will never order from them again.

If you have read what I write here is all about finding places with budget eating. Nanna Mexico is not one of them! I was glad that my wife turned down this place and we went to Thela instead. But before going to Thela, we...sneak-peek its menu and that was a game changer. How can a burrito by itself can cost 10 pounds, dios mio! That would have been the worse decision I would have made and spend that much. This is more expensive than Chilango (London). I just bought horchata for almost 3 pounds, I can't resist that! Horchata is not found in majority of the places, but to be honest eating at this place one needs to rethink and rethink more and think about that there are much more options at Regent Street.... Just think! But I will go back for Horchata ;)More

On this occasion, I went to the Regent street restaurant for a take-out. I have had Burritos here many times and always enjoyed them, this time I went for chicken Nacho's and these have now become my regular purchase! I grew up in southern California...so I have eaten a LOT of Mexican food at a lot of restaurants, take-outs and drive thru's, for England this place is pretty good! the chicken was very tasty, as was the pico and the brown beans. The guacamole and sour cream cost a bit extra which is strange if you ask me? this would never be the case in Mexico or America but, nevermind. The Nacho cheese sauce has been hit or miss though!! it was beautiful on 2 occasions but once I got them and it was more like a congealed cheesy paste (not nice) but, when they get it right it's great! Staff are always friendly, is great to hear them speaking Spanish too, it shows the food they are preparing is what they have been eating all their lives. I highly recommend this place!!More

Having lived in Texas for many years, burritos were a common meal for us. We consider ourselves somewhat expert. Nanna Mexico compared well in many ways to the chain burrito restaurants in the US. The chicken and carnitas were very good; the barbacoa (lamb) not...quite as good. I was a little disappointed in the amount of food on the burritos (especially for the price) but I was still sufficiently full by the end. The hot sauce/salsa provided at the counter was really not hot at all but that is not uncommon in UK burrito places. The staff were amazingly happy and friendly – at least 5 of them asked how our food had been. We won’t go to Cambridge specially to eat here, but we will quite happily go again when next in town.More

The service is lacking! Staff were rude and unprofessional! I went in the REGENT STREET shop Friday afternoon. I had three kids sitting in the car directly opposite. I ordered 3 kids meals. The Girl that served started to prepare my order. Then another gentleman...spoke to the girl in a foreign language. She proceed to ask me how old are my children.... At this point I asked her to look out the window directly into my car. I told her to go get the manager. She asked if she could finish servicing! I proceed To call the man over who I presumed was thin charge. The menu doesn't state their is an age restrictions on a kids meal! He said his manager has always told them kids are up to 12! I asked him what was the complaints process, as I found this to be unacceptable, there was no element of customer service or satisfaction. The kids portion was tiny, portion of meat consisted of 3 pieces of meet. And a tiny bit of rice, some of the rice was hard and crunchy. The food had no seasoning. The serving staff didn't wear hair nets. My children are aged between 8 and 13.More
