Remeber that Ask is of course a chain restaurant, and the offering is consistent with this rather than a bespoke, family-run old-town Italian. However, this also means you know what you're getting. In our experience this is reliable decent quality food from a reasonably varied menu. The calzone pizzas are excellent, and the pasta dishes have always been good, I... More

Not overly impressed with the Ask chain but thought we'd give this place another try. On entering the place it looked chaotic and look like the stuff were running around like lunatics. We were directed to a table and ordered our food and drinks. The food looked like it literally just came out the microwave which looked awful. I can... More

The restaurant was very noisy and crowded but we had not booked a table and so had to wait about half an hour for one and were not invited to buy drinks whilst we were waiting. Once we were seated the service carried on being very average but the food and cost of the food was not too bad. Would... More

Popped in here last night as the pub down the road won't let kids finish their meals due to a strict 9pm curfew on under 18s. Glad this was the case as it was so much nicer in here. The food was very tasty and the staff very pleasant. Will definitely eat here again on our next trip down south.

We had a great meal before a show at the Wycombe Swan. We used a couple of vouchers so our meal was very good value. The vouchers needed a bit of explaining by us but the waitress was very obliging. I had asked for no chocolate on my ice cream and it was still served with chocolate.. No big deal... More

Great lunch: tasty, hot and served in good time. Lovely helpful staff. Nice decor. I used my Tastecard which halved my food bill but the booze was the same price :-) lol. The cocktails are lovely tho! Always a good place to go for food (and I avoid carbs).

Felt cramped as tables packed so close together. Seating can be very hard too as wooden chairs. Just looks like someone hasn't quite decided how they want it decorated. Food and service satisfactory but nothing overly exciting.

Nice and warm on a cold wet day. Service was slow despite the fact that it wasn't busy and we ate early lunchtime. perhaps the manager should help the one waitress a little more? Food was good, though no check backs at all. Be warned if you have a buggy- you'll need help getting up the steps to the restaurant,... More

We came here for lunch as a family group. We had young children with us, they were given puzzles and colouring to do which kept us entertained. We had one wrong order brought out, but that was quickly changed and rectified. The food is always good, cooked fresh and not too much of a wait. It is reasonably priced and... More

My wife and I came with our grandchildren and their mum and dad. All getting excited as we are all off to the pantomime after lunch. Food excellent as always with what I think were a few new additions the chicken and mushroom risotto was of fine quality but a bit to large a serving for my liking. The kids... More
