Although there are limited vegan options on the menu, the ‘Veg Spring Roll Tofu Noodle Hotpot’ was incredible. The broth had a deep umami flavour and the texture of the tofu was spot on to soak up all the lovely juices. The sliding spice scale...means you can order a level of spicy which you will be comfortable eating - I went for a 3 but next time I want to try a 4!More

I have visited CD at a minimum of once a week for the last 2 years. It is single handedly the best place to eat in Bristol and I'm really missing them during lockdown. I can't count how many rubbish days have been made better,...just by the taste of a number 3 tofu noodle hotpot. If you haven't been there already, make it the first place you eat when this is over. It's where I'll be!More

Great little place well worth stopping at for a quick lunch or supper. Very reasonable price 4 of us eat for £40 including drinks and you won’t go away hungry.

I LOVE it here. It’s not fine dining it’s a lunch time cafe but the food is so yummy. Love how you can choose spicy level as I love spicy food. My favourite are the cold noodle salad which fried chicken or the chicken rice...meal, I also tried the mince meat noodles the other day and they were great.More

A return visit after a great previous trip. We were looking for something quick to fill us up. Two of us had the noodles, i had the rice. So so tasty, and great value.

Stopped in for a quick pre-gig bite to eat recently and was blown away. The food really is good and the prices are incredibly reasonable. I had the spare rib noodle hotpot and it was an enormous bowl, loaded with delicious juicy fatty meat, tender...noodles and a generous helping of dried chilli flakes. This place is great if you like spicy food. I like my food hot but had been warned this place used a lot of spice, so went with a no.3 medium heat level to play it safe but ended up adding a little chile oil to the soup. I think I'll go for the no.4 next time, but if you're not so keen on spicy food maybe go for the 1 or 2. Will definitely be back soon to try the dandan noodles.More

This is the perfect place to go if you want a filling meal at a reasonable price. The portions are enormous (if you’re on a budget you could easily share one Hot Pot between two) and you won’t be disappointed by the flavours. I had...the Chongqing Xiaomian and my boyfriend had the Stewed Beef Noodle Hot pot which we’d both highly recommend. I’d suggest level 2 on the spice if you want a bit of heat but don’t like your food really spicy. This place was overall fantastic but my one criticism was the plastic cutlery (especially for the spoon as everyone will want one for the broth) and paper cups as it seemed very wasteful.More

Good food and friendly staff. Just be cautious with your choice of chilli rating if your not a regular chilli eater. I’ve been here several times and the food is always fresh. Will be back again.
