I'll be honest, from the outside it didn't look too promising and inside the decor is rather basic. But we got a friendly welcome and our haddock and chips were a substantial repast and well cooked too. My partner and I ordered from here last night, and as a Coeliac it is incredibly difficult to find places in Bristol that are A) gluten-free and B) the gluten free options are Coeliac safe. We rang before placing our order and spoke to the...most helpful, lovely guy. He answered all of our questions, guided what was safe for me to eat from their menu, and told us in detail their cooking procedures and how they reduce cross-contamination risk. The food arrived quickly and hot; and it was the best fish and chips I’ve had, especially since being a Coeliac. I will hand on heart recommend this place to any other Coeliacs looking for this type of food. Will definitely be coming back again, thank you so much for giving a sh*t about us coeliacs!More

I'd have thought the local supermarkets would have anticipated a rush on lemons on Pancake Day but at 6pm every lemon in Bristol city centre had been snapped up. I was passing Catch 22 where I'm always offered a wedge of lemon with my fish....I asked if they could spare one and they let me have one for no charge. That's another reason to get your fish and chips from there. They're so generous!More

Open 'til 2300 so managed to grab a quick supper after the Old Vic. Excellent fish and chips - great batter and not at all greasy. Would agree with helenyw on extractor fan. Could certainly smell it on my clothes the next day...

The guy was nice. Food was on the small side but we got the lunch deal so maybe that's why, left feeling full anyway. Very tasty food, lots of options. Even a vegan option
