Our first visit and we used a Groupon Voucher and bought some wine from the shop down the road No booking issues, lots of choices and really good food. The children (13 & 6) really enjoyed the food as well Not the smartest place by far but the value and quality of the food is first rate. We will be... More

I was given a voucher for my birthday. I had high hopes seeing that it was situated in clifton. The service and food was good apart from the lamb in the main meal. It was tough. Expected it to fall apart but was chewy. When I went to the bathroom down the slippery stair carpet, I saw how dirty the... More

We revisited the Raj again after quite a few months and were not disappointed. It is one of my favourite Indian restaurants in Bristol and we enjoyed another meal last Saturday evening. We booked at short notice and an early table was ready for us on arrival. I am coeliac and this is no problem to the staff. I took my... More

My husband was bought a family evening meal by my son as a Father's Day gift. We used it last weekend and 4 of us set off for our meal. Myself or my husband have never been to an Indian restaurant before. We were delighted. Lovely friendly staff, great service and delicious food. Good heat ratings were set out clearly... More

Popped in for a quick dinner after the Alma Summer fête. We had chicken pasanda and a lamb dish with a pilau rice and naan to share. Great price, can't really beat a meal out for 2 for under 20 quid! I will say though, the service felt distracted (forgot to bring us requested larger glasses, the bar is 2... More

We've just had an excellent meal here, the decoration was a bit concerning but thankfully the food way surpassed the decor. If you can see past the basic surroundings you'll be in for a treat with the food.

Please don't judge a book by the cover. The decoration here is fairly basic, but the food is wonderful! We have been twice now and can't wait to go back again. The food is really fresh and very good quality, the lamb karahi is to die for. The lamb is plentiful and really tender. The starter were really good too.... More

This is by far the best Indian restaurant I have been to in Bristol. I have visited many times and it is always consistent. The food is really tasty, and not swimming in oil like some Indian restaurants can serve. I recommend the vegetarian thali, a selection of curries, rice and bread served in little dishes - really good value... More

The restaurant is not particularly atmospheric, especially when there's a migraine inducing flashing lightbulb that's in its way out above your table. We asked to move, however we couldn't venture very far beside it's not a big place and the only free table was right next to us. The food was okay, far from the best we've had though. Also... More

Good food served in this smallish restaurant. The starter selection was almost a meal in itself. All served in a timely manner.
