The food was absolute delicious but perhaps on the pricey side. The waiters / waitresses were also a tad grumpy.

I went back (after a few years) to San Carlos with my mum and a friend at the beginning of December. The food, I had scallops from the specials menu, was good and mine tasted divine. But once our orders had been taken, food served...More

Nice setting and good location for meeting in the city centre. Food was good although service was slow. I was happy with the San Carlos visit although I was expecting more from its preceding reputation. It was good but didn't live up to expectations.

Came here to celebrate 2 friends birthdays. The staff were friendly and brought us everything we asked for. However the food is overpriced, but it was tasty.

The food is tasty with a huge selection (with a strong emphasis on fish). The food is on the pricey side but decent value. The service lets the restaurant down though as the staff are not particularly friendly and everything is very rushed - we...More

No picture of the menu but the prices are very reasonable, I think I had the shellfish for main and it was about £30, but that was at the top end of price range.

I would say smart casual but a jacket and tie would not look out of place. As an aside I would advise against choosing this restaurant for a special occasion. The food is good but the service is ridiculously rushed. It's... More

San Carlo is a popular and award-winning Italian dining institution in the heart of Bristol's bustling Corn Street. The restaurant's lavish dining room – with tiled floors, neutral décor and electric blue accents – has a unique Mediterranean ambience and is always busy with a vibrant local crowd. The buzzy atmosphere, bold flavours and warm hospitality at San Carlo combine to provide an ideal setting for group parties and corporate events. We love the modern yet authentic seafood-led menu, and favourite dishes include the spaghetti with shellfish, garlic, chilli and fresh basil in a tomato sauce; the classic tuna carpaccio; and the traditional spiced Italian sausages cooked with Borlotti beans and served with grilled polenta.
