The team are very welcoming and make you feel at ease as soon as you walk in through the door. The menu was laid out well, with plenty of choices for us. The food was excellent and reasonably priced The service throughout the meal was...More

Ate here with a table of 6. Interesting and beautifully cooked tapas. Really fun evening. Jamon Iberico is to die for!

I shared five dishes with a friend for dinner - each dish was outstanding. I savoured every mouthful! We were full but couldn't resist the pudding - which was also wonderful. I would definitely go back for a special occasion.

Love this small, interesting restaurant. Twice had family dinners for 8 or more post-graduation ceremonies. The restaurant has been very accommodating, providing a varied set tapas menu. Always been more than happy to take their recommendations. Wine also good and staff always helpful. If in...More

Salad of roast cauliflower followed by another with blue cheese, dates and nuts took us to new levels of culinary awe. Unfortunately the main dishes of monkfish with paprika and a steak onglet were rather a tasteless mess by comparison and left us feeling hugely...More

Food amazing as always but i don't think i've ever been served by such a bad tempered and rude waitress. It was the same the time before. There's no need for the way she treated myself and my dining partner. Ruined the evening entirely !...More

The atmosphere in this Bristol diner is relaxed and and informal and the food excellent. We chose to eat tapas style an ordered the equivalent of 3 dishes each and shared. The falafel were truly delicious, as was the salt cod and the accompanying dips...More

Group of 8 friends this evening. On the set "tapas" menu. Food great. We found a brilliant wine. Service great. Don't really know why I can't give excellent but it didn't zing for me.

Delicious birthday meal and very friendly service. Every dish was yummy and fresh. We particularly liked the sardines, the courgette fritters and the morcilla.....oh and maybe all of it. Prosecco on tap too 😁

Description
Bell's Diner and Bar Rooms in the latest incarnation of Bristol's beloved Bell's Diner, established here in 1976. The new team has its roots in Rocinantes and Quartier Vert and brings the same relaxed enthusiasm for getting knees under a table to eat, drink and have a good time. Our food is best described as Modern Mediterranean and is inspired by the robust, flavoursome cooking of Spain, North Africa, Italy and France in which top quality ingredients are treated simply and put together in clever combinations. Our dishes are designed for sharing and you can eat as little or as much as you want; prop up our bar with a little bit of something lovely or pull up a chair and eat like a king (or queen). Our drinks list has been carefully chosen to suit our food and our personality. As well as unusual grape varietals from interesting young producers, we have some classic wines from famously good winemakers. We put a modest cash margin on our prices rather than the usual restaurant mark-up, so all of them offer incredible value for money. We also have a small but perfectly formed list of craft beers, ciders and soft drinks from some of the best producers around.
