On Monday 26th September , we held our reception here, I can only give our experience the highest compliment. The service was brilliant and the food was amazing. If anyone are considering holding a small reception here I would highly recommend The Town House. It just made our special day that bit more special and our guest had the best... More

Fabulous Sunday lunch on a beautiful summers day. Attentive staff giving excellent service. Roast dinners were delicious especially the Yorkshire puddings and crispy roast potatoes. It's a well organised place with engaging staff. Would highly recommend but make sure you book.

We ordered the set lunch menu and it was very nice, ordered a quiche and salad and potatoes which was very tasty. My partner ordered a steak, cooked beautifully. Great value and was great as we had gone out in my lunch hour but we were done before the hour was up. Would recommend this place for lunch or dinner.

We called in on Saturday as a party of 8 people and luckily for us the lunch menu was still available at 5.45.We had not booked but the waitress said they could accommodate us as long as we could vacate the table by 7.30 which was no problem. Service was efficient but not rushed- we ordered drinks then our meals... More

I haven't been to this restaurant since it first opened. The food was good back then although I do remember the service being agonisingly slow for no apparent reason. I do remember they did a fantastic Sunday lunch and a blinding expresso martini. My son and I called in for a latish mid week lunch and we were the only... More

Just goes to shows - different day, different staff, can produce a different result. Lunch today on bank holiday Monday was a disappointment. Four diners, 2 were happy with their main meals, 2 were not. Starters were good all round. For a main I had hangar steak which I have had plenty of times before here and this is served... More

So the best thing about townhouse is that all the food is made on the premises fresh just as it should be. Choice is good but best of all the set menus are excellent value and changed regularly I've been for lunch with my girlfriend and then re-booked with the family and everyone loved it. Atmosphere is relaxed but attentive... More

We had little tapas dishes. The steak dripping on toast is my fave! We also had mushrooms on toast, calamari, scampi, garlic mushrooms and new potatoes. The service was some of the best I've recieved, I don't know the ladies name but she had mouses brown blondes hair, quite petite. Nothing was too much trouble and she always had a... More

We ate here on a midweek evening. The restaurents was busy with a lovely atmosphere. Service was prompt, helpful and informative. We had a 3 course set menu for £18 each. There was plenty of choice on the menu and the gluten free options were really good. I can recommend their fish and chips!!!!
