So the best thing about townhouse is that all the food is made on the premises fresh just as it should be. Choice is good but best of all the set menus are excellent value and changed regularly I've been for lunch with my girlfriend and then re-booked with the family and everyone loved it. Atmosphere is relaxed but attentive... More

We had little tapas dishes. The steak dripping on toast is my fave! We also had mushrooms on toast, calamari, scampi, garlic mushrooms and new potatoes. The service was some of the best I've recieved, I don't know the ladies name but she had mouses brown blondes hair, quite petite. Nothing was too much trouble and she always had a... More

We ate here on a midweek evening. The restaurents was busy with a lovely atmosphere. Service was prompt, helpful and informative. We had a 3 course set menu for £18 each. There was plenty of choice on the menu and the gluten free options were really good. I can recommend their fish and chips!!!!

I have been to the Townhouse and never been disappointed and this time was no different!! The restaurant was very busy and I would always suggesting booking a table to avoid being turned away! We enjoyed the evening set menu of £18 - this is really good value for money! I enjoyed the mushrooms on toast for starters, then steak... More

We were a group of five old (in both senses of the word!) friends, having one of our regular dinner get togethers. The atmosphere in the resaurant was welcoming, relaxed and just right for our evening. We all ate of the set menu which was well put together. We had a variety of starters all of which went down well.... More

I visited the town house bar and restaurant for lunch on Monday this week. It was a nice day and was a lovely setting sitting outside. When we arrived, the waitress let us choose our own table which I appreciated so that we were comfortable. The two course for ten pound deal was incredible and a great size for lunch.... More

Waited for over forty minutes before we were served our drinks and well over an hour before we had food. Staff were rude and did not seem bothered at all. To add insult they offered to take one drink off the bill for the chicken meal which was very poor. Will never go there again and have what would have... More

We ate quickly here the other night - sat outside and drank some lovely white wine - we got a carafe which is such a good options with friends if you don't want a whole bottle. The food came quickly, and the calamari was absolutely perfect - tender and well seasoned. We'll be back for sure!

Went on a Sunday evening , not from area so wasn't sure how busy would be on Sunday so booked on line. We turned up and saw group of four looking at the door talking then walked off, so we were confused when we saw closed on door. Because we had booked we stood there for few minutes and member... Super place to meet up for Sunday lunch with friends & family. Relaxed atmosphere, no background music thankfully! Even though this is a popular restaurant, we were never made to feel we had to eat up and leave. Enjoyable roast lunch. Just a small point, but a measure of the attentive service; much appreciated the jugs of water & lemon... More
