I went here with my son who is trying out new venues in the area. We were both really impressed with the pub - it was really friendly and the food was outstanding. My son described his as stunning. A great find.

What a great pub to find out about. Recomended by our Brother-in-law. Atmosphere: is warm and friendly with a bit of a buzz. Food: I had the chance to taste a venison and porcini mushroom pie - tasty! Wine: wine is wine BUT they sell...More

We moved in nearby and discovered, to our shock, one of the best local pubs we've been to in a long time. The beer and ale selection isn't extensive, but varied. The food menu is small yet unique. It is a venue I'm going to...More

I visited the windmill yesterday afternoon and I have to say it was the best roast dinner in the south west! I had the lamb which was cooked perfectly with all fresh veg and amazing creamy leeks. The Yorkshire puddings were outstanding and the roast...More

Good, proper pub, decent back bar and draft selection. games and sofas make it easy to loose an afternoon. Regular pub quiz but is very much aimed at a certain generation (i'm 32 and im too young to answer the vast majority of questions)

For an early doors Sunday lunch the roast did not seem very fresh. The beef was overcooked and on the dry side, although it wasn't so far gone that it was entirely unpleasant. But Yorkshire pud, potatoes and veg did not shout fresh either -...More
