‘Smoke and Glaze’ burgers to die for. Good choice of drinks and friendly staff. Dog friendly. Nice surroundings and atmosphere. What’s not to like?

The is a good lively pub let down by one of the worst - maybe THE worst - lunches and rudest waitresses I can recall. We had booked at 12.30 as we wanted to eat early. We had Italian guests who actually wanted to buy...More

Hello there, I am extremely disappointed to read your less than favourable review. We had an issue with service on this day as the main oven in the kitchen broke down. This lead to an extremely stressful service for bar and kitchen alike. This however...More

I've been going here most weeks once a week for several years. The staff are all lovely and ask how we are. The place is nice to sit in and the food is very good.

We parked on main road at bottom of hill and walked up to the pub; the minor roads in this area are very narrow so best to leave the car at the foot of the hill and walk. Friendly welcome. Good choice of drinks on...More

Took a bit of finding, (no sat-nav) but was worth it. I'd been told about this place by a fellow 'Northerner' as it reminded him of his local in Manchester. Must say I agree. No fuss, friendly and serving good beer. I would like it...More

Visited for lunch, three of us in total. Its the second time I've been to the Windmill. A friendly welcome from the barman was a good start. A good range of draught and bottled beers and lagers were available. I chose a non-alcoholic wheat beer,...More
