Lovely on a sunny day to sit and watch people enjoying themeselves on the water. Good range of beers and food is good. Look out for mid-week specials.

This is a bar and restaurant on a boat which makes for a nice experience. It's a short walk along the water from the harbour area. They have good beer and nice wine. The drinks are priced a bit at the higher end for Bristol prices and there's probably equally/more interesting hipster type bars in town, but this is worth... More

Having drank at the Grain barge several times and enjoyed the wonderful views I was keen to take my visiting family there for lunch. However, after ordering several sandwiches at £7,20 each, we expected something both tasty and filling. What we received was a warm slice of bread with a topping. Wondering where both the top slice of bread and... More

This is an excellent place to sample Bristol Beer Factory brews both on tap and bottled. There decks in the sun, decks inside a lounge area with papers and tablets where you can drink and eat

If you fancy having a Sunday lunch somewhere different, this is a great place to visit for couples or families. Great views, tasty food, though the bar service a little slow when they are busy.

This is a great place for a sunny day. The beers are local and delicious, along with the roasted nuts. One of my favourite places in Bristol.

Nice beer selection, standard city prices, great location, average food. It is loud in here when full so not the place to go for a family meal if you want to chat! Food was OK; chicken and beef pies were both well received, but veggie options contained undercooked (hard and tasteless) veg, and dessert was bland. There was decent live... More

We came for Sunday lunch. The food was pretty good, though in all honesty not the very best pub roast I have ever had. Also, at 10.50 maybe slightly more expensive than the average. I think there are three choices of roast and good that there is a veggie option. The unusual setting and great atmosphere on a boat was... More

Unusual setting Business meal with three colleagues. Good selection of cask and craft beers on old barge. Excellent in summer with deck outside area for sitting and watching the water! Meals are good quality and reasonably priced. If you are a big party booking a table is advisable for evenings as Grain Barge gets busy! Friendly staff and good service!

Called in for lunch on our final day in Bristol before returning to Wales. On our previous visit, the spicy seafood stew was excellent, but this time we both opted for sandwiches of the open variety. I had chicken - a whole pan fried breast!! Enormous and very well cooked. Tuna stake for the boss, cooked nicely all garnished well.... More
