We stopped here at the weekend for the first time. What a great place! The cake selection was great, nice atmosphere, friendly staff and a good location. Prices were a real bargain too

Really good coffee, delicious pistachio cannoli, good atmosphere and staff polite and professional. Would definitely detour to get here.
What a great find! Fabulous coffee & choice of interesting Italian pastries. The panini menu looked good but I was off the idea of melted cheese!!
I prefer to support small independent coffee shops and so chose this coffee shop over a nearby chain. The coffee and food was good, but the service, appalling!! There were three persons present, at least one was staff. They were chatting in french, not that...this was a problem, but ignored us initially making us feel like we were ‘intruding’. This was repeated a short while later when another customer ordered. He tried to make light of the delay to serve him, but was blanked! Probably not bother returning.More
We stopped in after pounding the streets of Bristol and had a very welcome large hot chocolate. I was particularly happy to see an oat milk option. Drinks were a good temperature and really delicious. There were also lots of plugs and charging points which...were appreciated. Reasonable prices and some nice looking pastries and cakes - though I can't comment on them as just had drinks.More
I loved my large hot chocolate with oat "milk", it was creamy tasting and gorgeous. Hubby enjoyed his regular hot chocolate with cow's milk. Small cafe which was very clean and welcoming with friendly staff/owners.
Lovely little find In Bristol! Beautiful coffee with pistachio cream and other unique flavours! Deffo worth a visit ! Sweet treats too
My friend and I came to Rod and Ruby's around 5ish, intending to study and have some drinks later. We came in and sat down and met with one of the staff members *(there was only 2). He asked what we wanted to drink and...we said maybe later when we are studying, bearing mind we are students! He instantly shut us down after I asked what the wifi was and called us both "presumptuous and rude" many times! After insulting us for 5 minutes whilst we politely listened, he hinted for us to leave and so we did. This behaviour is unacceptable in all forms, especially as I work in the hospitality industry, this is horrible to any customer receiving these insults! I'm sure as a student and customer it was taken advantage of. We will never be coming back again, wouldn't recommend for students!!More
Lovely service and the perfect coffee, probably the best I’ve ever had. The sweet treats were top quality too. Will definitely be visiting again on my next trip to Bristol.
A really lovely little cafe. Pleasant service. A wide choice of drinks all reasonably priced. Paninis are sold too as well as biscuits/cakes. Plenty of seating inside and out. USB and traditional plugs available for phone/tablet charging. A very good independent option.
Fantastic coffee and welcoming staff. The lady who served us was so nice and the Coffey was probably the best I have ever had
Absolutely excellent coffee. We always grab a flat white when we’re out & about and this one was perfection!! The lady who served us was so lovely & personable and the Italian pastries were spot on. We’ll definitely be back.
After a busy Saturday, we were turned away from several busy cafes as we didn't book. Looking on our phone we saw Rod & Rubys a couple of minutes walk away. We went there and was not disappointed. Not too busy - space to sit...and social distance. We had 2 flat whites, a lemon cannoli and a pistachio one. Not too expensive but great quality! Interesting decor. We will be back time and time again.More
Went here as a pit stop to get out of the rain. The latte was delicious but would thoroughly recommend the hot chocolate my partner had. Very relaxed atmosphere and reasonably priced. Nice to take a little breather from the hustle and bustle.
Coffee is good and friendly service. We visited here several times during lockdown when take away coffee was permitted.
