This is a great place. I had the specials for both starter and main and they were presented beautifully and tasted superb. It doesn't look much from outside and from its location but I would strongly recommend this busy restaurant, especially if you are staying almost next door in the Holiday Inn Express.

Met up with friends in Bristol & decided to try Don Giovanni's for an evening based on the reviews. We were right to do so. The waiting staff were all pleasant and helpful, especially the lady with the long dark hair, who pointed out the specials board and took time to explain the difference between those and the similar sounding... Portions big, and it's very good. Always very busy and tables are always reserved not in a bad way customer do turn up. It is very close to the temple meads train station about 20mins 2walk (depends how slow you walk) this is slow walk, to centre. Give it a go when you walk pass...you won't be disappointed.

The six of us agreed that our dinner was excellent. The goat's cheese bruschetta was particularly good, as was the carbonara. The beef and pork meatballs were tasty. The wine list offered some interesting choices but the Nero D'Avola at £14.95 was a very good choice. The round table offered to us made for an intimate dining atmosphere. On another... More

We came here on a Friday after getting the train Bristol, right at the end of their lunchtime service but the friendly staff found us a table without any fuss. Unfortunately they also forgot to give us a menu, but on request they apologetically passed us some and provided good service from there on in, the food arrived quickly. The... More

Have been here a few times in the last couple of months whilst staying at the near by Holiday Inn and each time the food has been outstanding. The last visit tonight though just went up a step, the pizza was thinner and crispy and the service was friendly and relaxed. Would definitely recommend to anybody and everyone who likes... More

This is the first time I have given pride of place to a side salad but it was so good I just have to do it. Don't think boring old lettuce and tomato, this has more olives than you normally see on one plate, lovely leaves, balsamic dressing, a few other things besides, just the best salad I have had... My 2nd visit here and don't think I appreciated how nice it was the 1st time I came. Lovely food and great choice. Specials board as well with some nice options. Staff are really friendly as well. Bill came and it was all very reasonably priced. If only Bristol wasn't an awful place to drive around I would probably be... More
