The owners are really friendly and go out of their way to make sure that you are well looked after. The room was beautiful , the food amazing.

Went here today with the family because it looked a lovely pub from the outside with a children's play area... Walked into the pub and noticed a 3 food rating so was a little worried about the standard of food! Very unwelcoming reception from the landlady... We asked if it was ok to eat and she said as long as... More

Meeting up with friends not seen for a very long time .... Warm welcome from Jo and Neil and all the staff. Service simply the best . Food excellent and fresh and even catered for one of the party with gluten free batter for the fish, which was the best hake we had ever tasted ... Vast range of drinks... More

We had a lovely 2 nights here. The location of The Garway Inn is very pretty and is just a short drive away from Garway Hill, where you will find the wild ponies and unbelievable views. It's a runners paradise. The rooms at the Inn are clean and tidy. The full English breakfast is possibly the best I've ever had.... More

We stayed here when we visited Oldfield Forge.. just 1.5 miles form here. We had a midweek stay and could not fault it in any way. Joanna and Neil were the perfect hosts. Our room was beautiful, everywhere was impeccably clean. The food was fantastic - the best breakfast we have had! There was a great selection of local ales... More

Nice old pub with dining. Special meal nights are a good deal and general menu food is good. Choice of real ales available

The 'Moon' is set on the village green. Garway is a village set in the Borderlands in a largely unknown area between Abergavenny,Hereford, and Ross. The pub has 3 letting rooms, and is obviously the centre for the surrounding area. It is not a 'gin palace' or chain pub. It is a proper pub serving an agricultural area, and visitors... More

A friendly welcoming place with no stuffiness of airs and graces. We went for a walk leaving the car at the pub and got back for pre-booked lunch on a Sunday in July. Everything was just right and the food and beer spot on. Congratulations Garway Moon. We'll be back soon.

We all really enjoyed a family meal out here while on holiday staying nearby. A warm welcome as soon as arriving after booking a last minute table just an hour before. Between us we had five different starters, main courses and different desserts. Each and every one was fresh, tasty and well presented. The belly pork was my favorite and... More

The Garway Moon Inn is a family run Freehouse which is popular with locals and tourists alike. Dating back to the 18th Century as a pub it overlooks the Garway common. The pub offers a cosy restaurant and a bar with a roaring fire. We are proud to provide an extensive menu sourced wherever possible from our local farmers and boast a large range of Ales and Ciders. 4 Star AA rated B & B and self - catering rooms. A great location for walking, exploring the Welsh boarder and escaping to the countryside.
