I absolutely love The Beech Tree Inn & go for lunch whenever I can as I only live around 20 minutes away. The atmosphere, setting, food & staff are all amazing. I always order the macaroni cheese & chips as it's delicious & the portions are huge - great value for money. The staff are all great but in particular,... More

A mediocre lunch, in a cold seating area, with no atmosphere. Maybe l was expecting too much. After being snuggled up in a cosy holiday cottage nearby, for three days, maybe l expected the same from this restaurant/ bar. But it didn't deliver for me. Macaroni cheese for me. Hubby chose a good looking beer battered fish. While Rory boy was... More

Had lunch here on Christmas Eve. Very friendly reception from Anne , the manageress. Food was excellent and our waiter Liam was most attentive. Great atmosphere and very comfortable restaurant. Ideal situation for a good walk in beautiful surroundings. There is also a great opportunity to purchase some funky carved wood items and absolutely scrumptious chutneys. Well worth a visit.

On Wednesday 28th December while out running on the WHW I had a call of nature and decided to pop into the beech tree inn and use the facility's, on arrival to my disappointment it was closed but the manager was out power washing the paths and kindly let me in . I was extremely grateful and showed that what... More

Called in here while on a Boxing day drive in the area. Two of us had the heated Scone with Clotted Cream and Jam. Delicious. Also a Latte coffee. Staff very friendly and helpfull.

Just back from the beech tree. As usual service was excellent. The menu choice is varied and the best bit of all is the amount of choice that is gluten free. I don't have to have jacket potato and plain salad, I have as much choice as other diners. Never had a bad meal. Staff very aware of needs of... More

Took the grandkids out here in view of the animal area, which in effect was a totally fenced in area with slots to feed the goats and rabbits with small bags of chopped carrots (costing 50p). Not totally inspiring, but on a sunny say, the play area would be more inviting. The restaurant is pretty basic, and could do with... More

I have visited the Beach tree twice and left disappointed both times. I won't go into details of my experience but looking at its current rating vs ratings of similar establishments nearby then I it would be great if the current owner really took reviews on board and looked at ways to get to at least 4 stars. Let's make... More

The Beech Tree Inn is a family restaurant and bar situated just north of Glasgow. Please do not expect fine dining, that it not what we do. Its just simple bar food at value for money prices. In addition, we have a good range of light meals and snacks. We also stock a wide range of beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks. We have a great beer garden with a children's play area, pygmy goats, mini Shetland ponies, ducks, rabbits, & zebra finches for the kids to enjoy looking at.
