While waiting on the ferry to Tsawassen our curiosity got the better of us so we checked out Max & Moritz. The combination of German and Indonesian food was surprising to us but upon talking to the host she is actually Indonesian and lived in Berlin for 20 years. No wonder she knows how make a good curry wurst. My... More

Nice lady Lucy who runs this but the burgers we had were just so-so. Tasted like frozen style grocery store patties. Ask her how to get down to the beach if the tide's right, it's nice on a sunny day to eat on the beach. Only open very limited times which makes it touch and go.

No ferry ride from Galiano is complete without a visit to Max & Moritz's! Besides, the smell of the food is so tempting...especially in comparison to what's on board the ferries (no offense, whitespot!). I think I have tried just about everything on that menu and enjoyed it all... In my opinion, the only downside is it's a little pricey... More

People must be mesmerised by Galiano to rate this truck highly. It is a bit of veg on rice or noodle. More money if you want the meat, and even more if you want the peanut sauce.

Love this food truck. Friendly service, unique and delicious food for good value. Hint: buy a bottle of the sauce they make, it works on so many foods.

Semi permanently parked in the ferry waiting area @ Studies Bay, this Asian/German fusion gastro emporium has something for everyone. Bacon! The charming chef opens well before every ferry and has coffee on even as she preps breakfast. Good coffee. Gelato. Spicy noodles. Did I mention the bacon? This place is well worth the visit and the scramble to find... More

Stopped by here on our way back to Vancouver. The food is fresh and super-tasty, definitely worth it. Make sure you get here early-ish, as the line-up gets longer the closer to sailing you get. Note that they only take cash, and make sure you try the Nasi Goreng!

Max and Moritz sits on the water side of the ferry terminal parking area. Unlike most such places, the food is fabulous. The menu features a great mixture of German and Indonesian food. The Bhami Goreng is especially delicious and they also make a great breakfast pita pocket with scrambled eggs, bacon, grilled veggies and their own special spicy sauce.... More
