One day I had the (excellent) homemade cinnamon bun lathered in cream plus a tea. The second day it was a veggie samosa. I enjoyed them both. Everything is freshly baked and delicious.

Great fresh baked goods daily. Opened early. Has a few seats indoors and out for lingering. One morning we did buy a chocolatine that seemed more day-old than freshly made. Despite this, all other treats were marvellous from the breakfast calzone, breakfast Danish and croissants to the also fresh chocolatine. Lattes were great and we loved the laid back vibe... More

We read the reviews and were puzzled by some of them as we found the service here very helpful and friendly. The goods we tried, a veggie version of a sausage roll and a Yum wrap both delicious along with the great cinnamon bun. Coffee was great! On our last day we stopped here at 7am and had coffee along... More

The only place open early on Gali. Decent coffee but our takeaway chicken pies didn't seem to have any chicken? Had some lemon muffins that tasted like they were from a mix, pretty tart and dry. Good service.

I love coming here in the mornings to grab some fresh bread and coffee. Be sure to go earlier in the day as a couple times we went in the afternoon and they were sold out of bread. Sturdies Bay bakery has become a regular part of our Galiano Island getaways!

Not great for very early in the morning (early being 8am). I went hoping to try out one of their smoothies and a sampling of baked goods - I ended up with a rather stale apple turnover, which apparently could not be warmed up on site. The service was very blah - for 8am in the morning, and the server... More

Quick and efficient staff make it very easy to pop in for a treat before the ferry or if you have time a nice cup of coffee with a sandwich on the outdoor patio makes for a great lunch spot.

A great place to grab breakfast and snacks to take along with you while doing island exploration. We ordered pasta soup which comes with two large pieces of bread! Also packed sandwich for lunch. Cinnamon roll is most popular so grab it early! The granola bar is very tender and the date cake are great to replenish energy during the... More

A very small place with really good products. Well the meat pies and various breads are worth the visit.

Heard that they had cinnamon buns available. Went to get some, but they sell out very early. Went back the next morning and purchased 4 for our group. Amazing. Just as good as mom used to bake. Would have more but they are so large that I couldn't eat more.
