Came by this restaurant after Portabella was full and based on the positive reviews, I expected something a bit better than what I received. Firstly, it was a bit hot inside but I guess that could be due to us sitting near the kitchen. The salad was a bit strange for me because it had all sorts of fruit inside... More

We were fortunate enough to have decided on the painted pepper corn one day for lunch in downtown Picton and what a treat. The service was fast and friendly and the atmosphere was colourful and quaint. The restaurant really caters to families with books and toys to help entertain the kids while waiting for the food. The food itself was... More

If you're looking for a lunch spot, definitely go here! I've lived in the county for 20 years and this is where I always recommend to visitors and tourists. All of the food is homemade and you can definitely tell! Lots of fresh ingredients and a huge variety. The homemade salad dressings are to die for! Likewise, they have a... More

We took a little day trip to Picton and our first stop was lunch at the Painted Peppercorn. The menu board outside the quaint little restaurant drew us in with it's very appetizing selection. My husband had the Buffalo Burger and I had the Quesadilla with black beans and corn. Our salad and country mushroom soup before our mains were... More

Today was my third visit over the past few years and I have yet to be disappointed! They have a small rotating menu that incorporates local products and are always well made -never sloppy or over/under done. The price is right for the type of food and service as well. Today we went for my birthday and they made me... More

It's a little tricky to figure out how to get into this restaurant (you do NOT go in through Main Street, in spite of the address), but well worth the effort. The patio is lovely, with lots of shade. I had an excellent tourtiere with a fresh salad, and my friend had a mediterranean wrap which was great too. Reasonably... More

Very fresh salad made with local ingredients/ My wife enjoyed a flavorful curry and I had very tasy Quesadilla . Didn't have dessert but we hear they are baked in house and are great. Would return if we are back in the area. Restaurant very clean. Staff helpful and friendly

Lovely meal -- big daddy burger was impressive. Kids meal option too: chicken nuggets, pogo, and pita pizza. Nice and shaded on the patio. You have to wander down the alley to find the entrance.
