The "FloatHouse" is,as the name suggests,a floating restaurant at the Ucluelet Harbour, connected to terra-firma by a fairly steep gangway. The seating is split approx. 50/50 inside or on the open, but roofed deck.It opens approx. 17.00.A quick check of the weather forecast is recommended,re. seating preference, since it can get rather chilly on the water, once the sun disappears (but they do offer blankets).\Small,but... We went for dinner.. the staff were fantastic, the waitress was awesome, I am on a strict diet and she made sure my dinner was exactly what I needed. We sat outside it was a little chilly but they supplied blankets... great idea !!

We ate here our first night in Ucluelet on a recommendation from hotel staff. We weren't disappointed - the food was lovely. We sat outside and it did start to get a bit chilly but the staff provided blankets. We went back on our last night just for drinks and the staff were again excellent!

We visited the float house for "happy hour " one night and loved the ambiance and harbour views so we went back for dinner another night. Unfortunately, the food was the worst we had in our whole west coast trip. The pasta with shrimp was quite tasteless, the fish and chips were very average, and the lamb "grease burger" (my... More

Good food but there was quite a long wait to get in. There was a patio but it was a very cool evening and we wanted to eat indoors. Come early!

Visited on first night in Ucluelet. We were only one's there. Menu is a bit limited but what we tried was good. The wait staff were VERY friendly and accommodating . Nice night out.

Floathouse is small so be prepared for a wait it offers inside or outside tables on a quirky boat. Portions are generous and we shared tacos to start and a superb rack of ribs which were juicy and delicious. The menu is short and the drinks menu is shorter! Great value food and tasty too!

We had dinner here and we only had enough room for an appetizer each, I had blackened shrimp and they were very good and my wife had a bowl of seafood chowder which was also very good. Worth a visit.

We ate here last night and had an excellent meal. It is a busy restaurant so I suggest you go earlier or later for dinner. The ribs were awesome; fish and chips really great; salads were freshly made. We were told everything is homemade - no store bought anything. I say this isn't a seafood restaurant because of its varied... More
