Now seems to be called Head Lake Grill, and is just a small very basic eatery, no frills but the food was very good. Pop (soda) served just in the can but not really a problem. Most people seem to use it as a take away but we ate in. Don't be put off by appearances but don't expect fine... More

I heard a word of mouth recommendation on fish and chips. Had three orders to go and two extra fish pieces. Mistake on the extra. Definitely did not need. The portions were very large and very good. Fresh cut fries. Lightly battered fish. Actually very nice inside and very clean. Menu board with specials inside..Would you believe escargot at 9.95.... More

Diana, and her crew make you feel as if you are BBQ'ing in your backyard (only better). Her baked goods are above reproach - gotta try some !

I only ever have the burger*. Toasted bun, nice homemade patties, all the fixin's and fabulous fries. * Because I love a well made burger. Been to all the burger haunts around; chains and road houses, in the city, highway and bars. I always compare my experience to their burger, and haven't found one that is as good. Fish and... More

It's not the best in appearance & it can be rather cool in the winter but the burger & fries (fresh cut) were excellent. This is a end unit of a Motel facing Head Lake in my town of Haliburton.

After reading some of the comments on Tripadvisor about this restaurant we were a little hesitant to go in, oh my goodness as soon as we walked in the door of this adorable clean... More

These folks know how to do great "home" food. Small and clean. Best breakfast in town. Awesome burger and fish and fresh-cut chips. All cooked from scratch so takes a little longer. Their view off their deck competes with lake placid any day. And seniors discount!!
