Visited via passing one saturday and decided to come back with friends. Not dissapointed. Amazing starter, main and the baked alaska was a treat at the end. Portion size, quality of ingredients and level of cooking was 1st rate and will be coming back again. Superb!!

Our visit unexpectedly coincided with the Pub's 10th Anniversary with bands playing in the garden and a bouncy castle. There were no outside tables available but entering into the festival atmosphere we opted to eat sitting on the grass. We had a Tapas starter followed by Burgers. The beer was good and dogs welcome.

A really welcoming pub/restaurant just outside Chiddingfold. I chanced the veggie option of grilled aubergine, which was delicious. The rest of our group also enjoyed their food (bream, steak, goats cheese etc). All in all a great place for dinner and I'd definitely go again.

Found this place on route to Whittering beach and decided to stop for a drink to refreshen up. On arrival we discovered that it is owned by Chris Evans, the place is littered with photos and Chris Evans memorabilia. We only had a drink but the food looked great (a bit on the pricey side). My only issue with it... More

Living in Dorset, made the travel time quite a trip...... but the food and atmosphere did not disappoint. Service was unhurried and friendly and the food was tasty and well served (lovely beef). Interestingly, they had no sherry stocked in the bar, which was surprising, given its resurgence as a chic aperitif. Unpretentious surroundings and ambience...... the restaurant is child... More

Very smart and fresh pub, sympathetically done up without losing its tradition. Nice spacious tables and great menu in the restaurant. Good service and pretty good food, and good value. Was there for a meal and to see a band - but maybe not best to combine these. The music is a bit cramped into the front of the pub,... More

Our meals were fabulous - hearty portions of high quality food, which came quickly! Lovely atmosphere, not at all snobby or pretentious. Very thoughtful staff who brought our dog some water and treats without us asking. Would definitely return to this pub.

Went here because we knew it was Chris Evans's pub and have gone past it for years. We called in advance to book a table the staff was very friendly on arrival and the food speaks for itself.

We came here for an anniversary meal, our first. We thought it would be a lovely place to come, based on the overall good reviews and the connections with Mr Evans who my partner loves. And to be fair overall it was ok. Very warm welcome from friendly waiting staff and very attentive (to begin with) My partner is vegetarian... More

I have never been here before or even heard of it. The restaurant was very busy with Mother's Day but the food was delicious with an extensive menu, the service was friendly and efficient. I didn't know what to order as it all sounded so tempting and it didn't really matter as my companion chose three courses completely different and... More
