We visited the Ship Inn on a lovely Summer's evening with a group of 21 friends and family. The welcome was warm and friendly, the food delicious, and service excellent. Between us we probably ate most things on the menu, and everything was great.

Party to celebrate a birthday and remembering absent friends. The food , service and the atmosphere in The Ship was shepherd and could not have been better. Thank you all for a super super evening. Highly recommended from all.

Love this restaurant for a peaceful meal. It just seems to get better each time I visit. I concentrates on a small fixed menu with everything done well plus a few specials for variety. Watch out for the Bakewell Tart - unless you really want a big dessert. In winter there is a log stove to make it really cozy.... More

We stayed in a cottage local to here for a week and ate here 4 times. The food was amazing. The burger and chips was yum, but so was it all. The staff and locals were friendly, and its a very dog friendly pub. Even have a menu just for the dogs. Which my 2 thoroughly enjoyed.

I went for lunch with my family at the ship in, it's a very cosy country pub with a friendly atmosphere. The lunch menu is very varied and all the dishes we had were delicious, there was definitely attention to detail and high quality ingredients. There is a good selection of drinks and both food and drinks prices are reasonable.... More

Had a delicious lunch here; very tasty food, cooked well. Hubby thoroughly enjoyed the meat and potato pie, and the crayfish/trout potato skins and black pudding scotch egg (2 starters) which I had were absolutely delicious. The prices were reasonable and the young lady who served us was working very hard providing front of house for the whole pub, but... More

Called into this pub for the first time whilst out walking and what a great discovery it turned out to be. A friendly welcome from the staff, good beers and lovely food. One of our party required a gluten free meal and the chef had no issues in modifying the meal to ensure that it was perfect for gluten free.... More

This was our first visit to the Ship and we'll definitely be back! It came recommended by several friends so we thought we'd go for lunch. The very friendly girl behind the bar (who was expertly running front of house single handedly!) advised that everything on the menu was delicious and we certainly weren't disappointed. It's a lovely cosy pub... More

I come here many a time and it never lets me down. Gemma and her partner that own it are superb hosts, the food is always fresh and deliciously tasty, the beer is good and the wine too. A gorgeous little pub - highly recommended.
