I was really impressed with this town and the food in it. This place is a true gem and has a quirky sense of humor, the service was great and very helpful and the food was fantastic!! Everything our group had was beyond delicious!

Visited the Rockies in August 2016. Stopped at Truffle Pigs after whitewater rafting for dinner. I couldn't tell you what we all ordered for main courses, but all 4 of us simply devoured the Mussels Maras!! The town of Field is very small and unassuming, but you have to stop for lunch or dinner here! Everything was good, but those... More

A great stop for lunch while traveling the pass. The detour off the highway is worth it to find this delightful bistro. Not a large menu but something for everyone and a nice lounge and outdoor patio too.

We were staying in Emerald Lake and one of the local staff members recommended this place. We took her word for it and on arrival were a bit doubtful, this really seemed like local nepotism, Field is a very small town. Then it happened, we read the menu, ordered and enjoyed some of the most well thought through and delightful... More

There are not many choices for meals in Field and area, especially during the quiet season. Choices were unique and fairly upscale with prices to match. The pork belly tacos were delicious to start. The veggie burger was mushy and disappointing. The boar Wellington was flavourful but small for the price. Service was slow despite being not very busy. If... More

A very popular place in the summer months, you can not always get in here, unless you are prepared to wait. On our trip in September, we arrived just as they opened for supper and within a half hour, the place was full. Food was top notch as usual and there is a good selection of beverages. My wife had... My spouse and I had food ordered in to our room (we had the dog with us) from the Bistro while we were staying in the lodge, and the food was great. Just as good as I would have expected if we had sat down in the restaurant.

My mother and I ate lunch at Truffle Pigs during our day trip to explore Yoho National Park from Banff and we absolutely loved this place! This restaurant has a rustic charm, unique decor, and a welcoming, authentic and relaxed atmosphere. We both ordered the Garden Massacre Salad which was packed full of delicious and fresh vegetables and finished with... More

On our first visit we dined at the hotel restaurant after checking in. We asked for a table with a view ( Ha ha, all tables have good views here!) and were seated at the corner table. The small appetizer of bacon wrapped Tournedos were tasty but a little over done. The 8 oz. Angus strip loin with fries, sweet... More

Choice in Field is fairly limited so we ate at Truffle Pigs on 3 successive evenings and were not disappointed with the quality of food and good wine list. However, the restaurant does not take reservations. Although we didn't feel pressured once we had sat down, we had to queue 30 minutes and, on subsequent evenings over an hour before... More
