We went to Lunenburg in the low season and most of the places were closed, but then we found this one and thought we'll give it a try and we were not disappointed. I had a haddock for lunch and it was served with asparagus, cucumber, roasted potatoes and tomatoes. And I think some chowder sauce..? I ate all of... More

We were visiting the Lunenburg area for the day and decided to have a late lunch at the Grand Banker after taking a walk around town to see the sites. Overall it was a great dining experience. The service was great. We requested to wait at the bar and have a drink until a window table opened up, and they... More

What a great location with a vast view of the harbour and plenty of free parking just below it. It's small and busy but a very friendly place. The service was very good. We had a young gentleman who was so polite, courteous and professional. Everything about this place was good except the prices were a little higher than they... More

Many restaurants are closed in the off season in Lunenburg so my choices were limited while in town on business. The Grand Banker has an amazing atmosphere, friendly staff and a great view out to the ocean. I was hesitant to try the Acadian Style Cajun Seafood Stew but am I ever glad I took the plunge! Filled with fresh... More

Despite it being winter and super quiet in town the place was jammed. Thé atmosphère was more "bar serving food" than restaurant, with loud music and sport on the tv. The servers were happy, polite and welcoming! The food was delicious - highly recommend.

I enjoyed the food and the service. I had scallops and my husband had fish and chips. He did say the fish and chips were greasy but the fish inside was very good.

Unfortunately I didn't think to take a camera along. However, the photos wouldn't add much value in this case. First the good. We had Charcuterie & Cheese to start. Quite a nice selection. Some care was used in choosing the cheeses. No complaints. The wine was pretty good. You can't expect much in a seasonal town so, within the context... More

One of the few places open in early February in Lunenberg. Good beer selection and a good selection of seafood dishes. Had the pan-fried haddock which was delicious and not too greasy. The view on the harbor is excellent and the atmosphere is very warm and cozy. Great in the middle of the winer

Good food. The Acadian Cajun fish Stew was full of fish ,scallops, mussels and some lobster with a really good broth. The french fries were very good and the fish was fresh with a light batter. A nice view of the harbour from window seats and the wait staff is welcoming and knowledgable You can sample a new beer or... More
