Nothing great, definitely nothing bad. A good plate of food at the end of a long day -- plus a beer -- and a simple, easy-going atmpsphere

With the exception of the salads, the steak and the hamburger steak were of very poor quality. We finally sent the hamburger steak back and were not charged for it. The "rib-steak" was over done and of only minimal quality for what is billed a "steakhouse". Give this place a pass...

This place bills itself as a steakhouse. It is dark and dingy and uninviting. The only two other patrons left after we arrived. The menu is way overpriced for steak. I had fish and chips. The fish was of unknown species. Even the waitress did not know what it was. In any case the heavy breaded coating was thicker than... More

I had not been there in many years. They used to have the best burgers! I was somewhat disappointed. I tried out the pub burger and the meat patty was extremely thin, non existent in my burger and too much special sauce. Great service though.

We like to read reviews on Tripadvisor when we are traveling to places with which we are unfamiliar in order to avoid the pitfalls of staying somewhere or eating somewhere that we perhaps could have avoided. Vieux Poele-Pub is one of those places. It's not that it's bad, it just needs some realistic reviews. It's a pub. A huge pub... More

It was recommended by a local a few years back and I have not been disappointed. The garden salad is amazing (lots of olives) so is the filet mignon and the chicken brochette. I travel on the east coast a few times per year on business and I made sure to arrange a stop at le Vieux Poêle in my... More

The Vieux Poele has been around for quite a while and have consistently delivered quality food with amazing service. They have hired quality chefs throughout the years and the staff represents the typical warm and friendly brayons people of Edmundston. And finally they are also a great venue for music and entertainment! During my last visit they even improvised to... More

My girlfriend and I were looking for a great local place in Edmunston during our trip out east to try local food and beer and we were not disappointed!!! Great food, great prices, warm service from Sabrina, beautiful scenery of the Madawaska valley from their impressive patio. Don’t miss out that little street in between the Presse Café and the...
