The pastries are hit-and-miss: sometimes very good, sometimes much less. The other products available can be quite nice though (savoury dishes, many kinds of breads, as well as coffee etc.) The store has a nice little area where you can eat. In general, it is an okay place.

I'm officially hooked and I got the rest of my office hooked on their fougasse. We now buy it every Friday along with their baguette with sea salt and oil and their ham and cheese. It's addictive!!!

I've been coming for several years now and the quality of the cakes is always great. I especially enjoy the brownie cheesecake which always makes me come back. Other cakes are always great for all occasions. The atmosphere is also nice as it is frequently busy.

Having a very amazing Belgian bakery/pastry shop in my hometown, I tried to see if could find as good products at Balade des douceurs. There are often good comment about them but.... been disappointed. Croissants tasted the same as they do at Métro or any grocery store. Try the more fancy more, but never got one fresh (last saturday a... More

... maple meringues. Delicious. This is a great little bakery on an underappreciated stretch of Montcalm.

Have enjoyed many breads from here over several years but lately have had problems being sold stale items. Really disappointed I can't trust to be given fresh goods - last time I got a fougasse and tried to eat as soon as I got home (20 min later) and it was obviously at least a day or two old -... More

We've been going to the bakery for the past 5 years and it used to be really great food. The past few times we've been it seems their food quality went downhill and their prices up. The croissants and the Chocolate croissants tasted stale the past few times. Both times we went early morning. We keep hoping that the quality... More

I went there at the suggestion of my boss, who goes there from time to time. I was seeking to find a Galette des Rois for an event on January 6th and was a bit nervous about driving that distance and coming up empty-handed. I was pleasantly surprised with the nice, modern atmosphere, and the excellent, friendly service. Worth driving... More

I always go to the one in Hull just across from Les brasseurs du Temps. Try their fougasse aux olives-so delicious. If you like croissant try croissant à l'érable (maple croissant)...to die for, I thought almond croissant were my fav but now it is at the same level...The one in Gatineau is also good but to far for me.
