We visited Mom's while in Sooke. Service was very friendly (although they probably cold have used one more server) and the food "down home". Good salads, sandwiches and the burgers and wraps are huge. The draw here are the homemade pies for dessert - we were very disappointed that they were out of lemon meringue pie during our visit (they... More

Stopped at this restaurant a recommendation. The food was fantastic. As soon as we walked they had two beautiful fresh made Blackberry pies sitting on the shelf. We definitely wanted a piece only to find out that they can't serve it until the eying when the pies set up. Sucks to be us. Blackberries are in season too disappointed but... More

Mom's is the best place in Sooke for comfort food. Huge breakfasts, great lunches with amazing home made soups and great burgers. But the pies....well, my goodness. They are home made and fresh and worth driving all the way to Sooke for! Apple, Lemon Meringue, Rhubarb. Warmed up with ice cream. Yowza!

Recently renovated family restaurant. Serves good wholesome food with excellent breakfasts. Their lemon marange pie is famous in Sooke for the height of the marange.

Greeted by friendly staff. Meal served was halibut and meatloaf. Both meals were excellent and would recommend them to anybody that is interested in going to Sooke, BC and having a great dining experience.

Fantastic old school diner experience. This place is exactly what you are expecting from a diner. High brow it is not. GOOD it is. Plates are huge! Ordering an omelette? Easily enough for two. Everything is good like Mom made it. Go. Eat. You don't eat. So eat. You're getting so skinny? You don't get the cheek pinch but you... More

From the vinyl covered booth seats, to the display case full of pie and the hustling/bustling wait staff, Mom's is a throwback. Like most Sooke eateries, entrees are a little pricier than you might expect, but the quality is excellent and the portions large. Had the chicken burger with frings and the salmon corn chowder with green salad. Both highly... More

The North American style food was tasty and filling. Mom's Cafe reminds me of classic 1950, 1960, 1970 diners in TV shows and movies. It is good to get away from the Greater Victoria downtown core to the country side sometimes.
