Very unbusy place at 8 p.m. at night. Food was alright but nothing special. Bathrooms were old, moldy, musty and off putting. We would not return.

We sat outside on the lawn and enjoyed a delicious lunch of fish and chips. The garden was fragrant and there were no bugs! The restaurant was busy so always a good sign.

We have lived in Qualicum Beach for over 10 years and kept saying that we really had to try this little, out of the way restaurant. Recently, upon waking up, my wife said, "We should go to Fish Tales for breakfast." Once we were up washed and mobile, we headed down there and were surprised by the friendly, helpful service... Probably one of the best fish and chips I have experienced! The portion sizes are generous, and the 2 piece dinner would satisfy any big appetite. Incredibly friendly staff, with perfect summer ambience eating in the garden. The clam chowder was hot and hearty, and the coleslaw was interesting with a touch of dill. Looking forward to a return visit... More

We had a nice lunch here. My husband ordered the all you can eat fish and chips, and I ordered the clam chowder. We split appetizers of bacon wrapped scallops and deep fried oysters. I thoroughly enjoyed everything. ..my husband said the fish and chips were just ok. The scallops were a bit small but very tasty. Service was pretty... More

We enjoyed a delicious meal of fish and chips while seated outside on the lawn, underneath a large umbrella. The service was good, the food was served promptly and the location was within walking distance of our lodging. We will definitely return when in the Qualicum Beach area!

my wife and i were in the area last week. we wondered about the all u can eat fish promotion. so we asked. New Zealand cod and Alaska halibut and lingcod. We have these fisheries in BC. Why is a "Seafood Restauraunt" 2 blocks off the Pacific ocean importing seafood out of country? They do have oysters. Bayne Sd or... More

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your opinion. Our Lingcod, Rockcod and Wild Salmon are all local to our waters. With respect to the New Zealand Blue Cod that is offered as the fish with the All You Can Eat deal. People are made aware of the fact that this fish is not local. Our Halibut is... More

The atmosphere outside in the garden is very nice. Tables and umbrellas are sitting on the lawn, with lots of flowers around. They make their desserts on the premises and they are delicious. All of us at dinner that evening had the fish and chips, with their own home made tartar sauce. It was very good! Would definitely return when... More

We were very happy that we stopped off at this nice English Style cafe. Not alot of seating inside, but it was a very nice day so our large group sat outside. Our waitress Chelsea was excellent. We found service to be great and timely. We also found the food to be very tasty - large portions! I had salmon... More
