unique setting with english flair

Mediocre food with great ambience. Service is good. They tend towards traditional English fare with a lot of items deep fried. Known for fish and chips which are still mediocre. Nice garden dining in the summer.

And maybe even chuffed to bits...and that simply means really pleased! Great ambience - less like a pub than many of the establishments advertising themselves as British experiences, more like a quaint little cottage with all the ambience of a little roadhouse in Northern England. Service was excellent (and they were pretty busy) for lunch. Food was fabulous - crab... More

We were on the beach and met a man named Phil, we had a nice conversation. Turns out he was from Cornwall, UK and was the owner of the Fish Tales cafe. He suggested to have cream tea, and so we did! It was the first time I had ever had clotted cream. The scones were done properly and was... More

Looking for a place with charm to celebrate our wedding in Britain 25 years ago and this was just our cup of tea! We ordered the Prawn and Shrimp Cocktail and Mandarin Salad. Fresh as can be! My husband ordered the Fish and Chips and they were not greasy and chips were as they should be. I ordered (but had... More

I stopped by one evening recently and had an order of fish and chips - they have a choice of cod, halibut, rock cod and salmon (at differing prices) I chose the salmon. It was very good, as were the home cut fries and the cole slaw. While the portions were not huge, I was full by the time I... More

We actually drove right by this little gem of a place and had to turn around....so glad we did! It's a charming ole English pub style restaurant that's worth popping into for a bite. We enjoyed the all you can eat fish special and a delicious clam chowder with the fattest freshest scone we've had in a while. There was... More

We stopped into Fish Tales tonight and were delighted to learn there was an all-you-can-eat special on Fish & Chips for only $12! The portions were enormous and tasty. Like another reviewer below, I found it charming that the food was served on china plates and I especially loved the coleslaw made with fresh dill! It's these friendly touches that... More
