Uncertain of whether the drive from Leknes, Vestvågøy to Å, Moskenesøy was worth it for the beautiful views alone I ordered the whale steak. The inside seating of the restaurant appeared uninteresting and the interior looked a lot as if it was prepared by the same person who apparently designed Maren Anna's webpage back in the early 2000's. This became... More

We stopped in for a quick meal while exploring Sorvågen. It was about 4:05pm. The lunch menu was still available but was apparently switching to the dinner menu shortly. No one seated us which I am beginning to think is the custom here and we had to go up to order the food, again this has been common in other... More

We arrived early for our ferry and having left the car in queue walked to the nearby village to get some supplies. It's about 3 km to walk. As we hungry, we decided to go here for food and I am glad that we did. The ambience is great, waitress was very friendly and the food was awesome. This was... More

We had a very nice dinner at Maren Anna at the end of our trip in Norway. Everything was good and some of the plates were great (the chowder!).

We found this little restaurant, just by the main road in Sorvagan-3 kms before reaching A. Great food, reasonable prices for Norway, good wifi access and was open when other cafes, restaurants etc were closed. It opens from 1pm until late at night- 10 pm I think. Deserves to be well patronised.

We arrived at Maren Anna as the owner was closing for the night, but instead of sending us away, she invited us in and served us an amazing dinner. The cod and halibut dinners and the mashed potatoes, vegetables and seaweed side dishes were absolutely delicious, but even better than the food was the warm welcome that we received.

We stumbled on Maren Anna the last day of our stay in Lofoten. Our ferry was late, and we ended up eating both lunch and dinner here--and they were the best meals we had on the island. The fish was outstanding; the soup to die for; the desserts also wonderful. We almost stayed here (weren't sure the ferry would leave--wild... More
