We ended up here after getting off a late whale watch and learning it was the only game in town if you want to eat after 9pm. The seafood chowder was excellent, and I had a sandwich on a gluten-free roll that was the best GF roll I've ever tasted (the rest of the sandwich was mediocre, as was my... More

We were touring New Brunswick and St. Andrew's was one of our destinations. We had no idea what to expect but as we explored the town comparing restaurant menus and peeking through windows, we liked what we saw and entered the establishment. We were met by Dan and Jen, just in time for the Dan and Jen show...a happy and... More

Recently we had the opportunity to stay in St. Andrews, NB for two nights. It is a very pretty town and definitely a tourist spot. We found our whale watching adventure with the Jolly Breeze was great, our room at the St. Andrews Inn fine but any of the restaurants we tried (including the Lobster Bay Restaurant) served ordinary food... Fun atmosphere and great food for a quick bite. The lobster chowder was a great choice chocked full of enormous lobster chunks. It was almost more lobster than chowder. Disappointed that the award winning seafood chowder had sold out that evening. Will have to return again during our next visit to try it out.

Ordered late lunch of black bean soup with cumin. Horrible! I think they added water to a can of beans and sprinkled cumin on it. Unfit for serving. We sent it back and left restaurant.

Came in for a light lunch after shopping around on Water Street. Ordered the fish burger, which was very delicious and the presentation was perfect. The place was very busy. The waitress, despite it being her first day, was very good and sweet. Check out the excellent plating and presentation in my photo!

Stopped in for a lunch bite while touring St Andrews. Had the fish and chips and a Dark and Stormy local beer. Was fantastic and a friendly server too.

I had the seafood frittata, and hubby had a lobster roll with sweet potato fries. Both were good, and the waitress was really nice.

The wait staff seemed disgruntled, slow and not the least bit interested in customer service. Waited 10 minutes for water. There are many other pubs and restaurants along main street.
