On a weekend getaway, we decided to have our dinner in the restaurant. Should have known when the server said the pub and restaurant menu were the exact same that we'd have been better off in the pub. I had the seafood medley. This scallops were nice, but the lemon basil poached haddock was very bland, and the shrimp was... More

The Kennedy Inn is a quaint hotel with a dining room at the front and a pub at the back of the building. In the summer, food is served on the verandah. There is a ramp at the front of the building and there are WC's on the main floor but the stalls are not wheelchair accessible. As this is... More

We went here for dinner during "Indulge". Even though the waitress was very busy with all the extra traffic in and out, the service was very good. The Chardonnay was cold and tasty. We started with the soup of the day which was turkey vegetable. It was excellent. Chunks of meat and fresh veggies. I had the lobster stuffed mushrooms... More

After being seated in the restaurant the first thing we noticed is that they had placed some sticky fly tape a foot away from our table which was covered in dead bugs, then we noticed all the flys circling the lights inside. It was pretty gross but we still decided to give the restaurant a chance. Then the waiter came... More

We had a couple of drinks and pub food and listened to some great local music. Cozy Pub. It does not take long to fill up. Get there early , enjoy some local brew and talk with the locals and staff. It is a great place!

We decided to start off with a Guinness this was a huge mistake. The server started to poor the beer properly then I watched her decided to just fill it up. Anyone who sells Guinness knows there is a resting period between the second poor. Being an Irish pub you should know how to poor a beer expecially a Guinness.... More

Had a good meal at the Shiretown Pub but best of all they allowed our pooch on the deck. My lobster pizza thing was OK. My husbands smoked meat sandwich was "delicious". Service was excellent!

Friendly staff made up for the okay food. Apparently when dining in Canada, ordering a burger "medium" or "medium rare" is not allowed due to regulations. Meat is cooked "well done". This is not something I'd order again. But, when in Rome... Our waitstaff stated she was a Canadian student from the country of Jamaica. She, was awesome.

We had lunch here late on a Sunday afternoon. The food was classic pub fare -- my son had the Shiretown burger with fries and I had a bowl of seafood chowder -- done well. The ambiance is elegant, though more casual in the verandah, complemented by attentive and professional service. The property is well cared for and really merits... More

While staying in St. Andrew's, we stopped here for a drink, and enjoyed sitting on the front porch with a view across the street to the harbour. We returned for dinner as there was a sign on the table about a special on mussels with white wine and garlic, another seafood favorite of mine. When we arrived, they had sold... More
