Best place In local area for a meal - if you like a substantial pub meal then this is the place for you. Portions are good, food was piping hot and very very tasty (curry had a good kick to it and not skimpy in the meat!) and prices are reasonable. Menu is not brilliant - but usual pub classics... great meals and very friendly staff, there is decking out the back where you can have a meal or drink if you have a dog with you, if it's cold there are heaters as well, it's quite hard to find any where if you have a dog with you .

If you're in the area this is probably one of the nicest I places to eat. All food is freshly cooked with an open kitchen, so nowhere to hide. Good variety.

The food is generally good, their homemade chips are incredible! But occasionally you get a bad meal, which taints the image. They seem to struggle with waiting staff, either really lovely or completely robotic... no happy medium.

Food ok but a little over priced for what it is! Has plenty of potential and could be improved on with a little bit more variation in the menu

12 of us went there for lunch. Not one word of complaint from anyone. From steak to curry, fish to omelette - really well presented and excellent value.

I used to love having this place on my doorstep. A modern gastro pub in the valleys serving good food. Returned recently after not visiting for a long while and how times have changed, for the worse. Place looks run down and is in need of a major piece of cosmetic work. Gents toilets are damaged, unclean and smelly. Food... More
