This lovely little restaurant in downtown Okotoks is housed in a former Gothic Revival Church. Much of the architecture has been preserved, from the original floors to the soaring celiling. My teenage daughter and I shared lunch here. The menu boasts fresh, locally-sourced food. Lots of tasty sandwich and salad combinations. The selections offered made it difficult to choose as... We came here on a Friday night to celebrate a family event and enjoyed our first time here although a couple of our group had been here before. The renovated church had a pleasant, funky atmosphere. They put our group of ten near the entrance in a small cozy area that suited us. We could hear everyone around the table... More

Heartland has always been a family favorite but the last two visits have been a disappointment. The menu has changed and been downsized.... taking a few favorites with it. The service is lackluster and food not nearly as good as it used to be.

I loved the flavors and selection found on the menu. The atmosphere is quaint and inviting. I find it is usually busy and service is fairly quick considering. A tad pricey so this is a once in a while treat for me.

Took the future in-laws to The Heartland Café as a nice way to meet them for the very first time on their travels through AB back to MB. The service was great and the food was impressive.

On May 10 my friend and I decided to visit the Heartland restaurant for lunch. She had been there a couple weeks before and highly recommended the clam chowder. We both ordered the $10. bowl of chowder which came with a bun. We could barely eat the water-thin chowder because it did not taste good but were both hungry so... More

I have been here a handful of times with friends from the area and my visiting family. The staff is always in a great mood and the atmosphere is comfortable, welcoming, and warm. Oh my gosh the food! It is mouth watering. My favorite is breakfast (anything, just eat all of it) and their little sharing plate on the appetizer... More

On a beautiful spring evening the patio was open so my friend and I decided to go out for diner. My friend suggested downtown so we decided on Heartland Cafe. The patio was open so we sat outside. We were given the menu and when my friend asked for specials, the waitress stumbled over the name of the evening special.... More

Nice decoration but the menu was quite limited to sandwiches and burgers. Food was good and price was reasonable.

Consistently receive great food and enjoy a quiet and intimate atmosphere. Most items on the menu are reasonably priced and we have yet to be disappointed with any element.
