We stopped in for an early evening dinner before going to the PNE concerts. Service was great. Food was good. My wife said the Bento box was very filling!

These maybe my favorite spicy tuna rolls outside of Tokyo. So very spicy. They have real crab here as well. This place can not be beat.

Been coming to Osaka Sushi on & off for over 5 years now. And I drive over 45min from South Vancouver to reach it. Why? Because anything on the menu is absolutely DELICIOUS!!! The sushi, tempura, bentos, everything! And I lived in Japan for almost...5 years and have tried sushi all over the world. Very friendly staff / super clean restaurant / large portions. Osaka Sushi - keep up the great work!!!More

In the middle of a stretch of about 7 Japanese Restaurants on Hastings Street in North Burnaby. You can't go wrong with their menu, something for everyone. The service is good, the quality of food is good, but again not quite authentic Japanese. I think...their best bet is their take out sushi platters, a definite great bang for the Yen.More

I've moved so coming to my favourite Sushi establishment is a big challenge. It does also hold some memories of my past life so it's also hard to be in the restaurant alone. It's still the best Sushi Restaurant by a country mile. Staff here...always make me feel welcome and have for the most part stayed the same. They serve the freshest fish and never have I been disappointed. That's a lot to say when, some weeks I've gone 3-4 times in the past. My chicken Udon can never be matched and I have tried many others. Portion sizes are fantastic and great value. I'm never trying any other Sushi establishment ever again!More

Their tuna tataki is excellent although we generally eat rolls here. I'd have to rate this one in the top five of about 20 sushi restaurants I've been to in Vancouver. Reliably yummy.

Osaka is our local family favourite for Saturday or Sunday lunch. Osaka is a small eat in or take out Sushi Restaurant, we have never had a problem getting seating or being served quickly. Both of our kids love the Kapa Maki and my husband...and I love the good quality of their sashimi and sushi rolls. I haven't tried a dish that I did not like at Osaka, they are all very nice. They have Bento Boxes and Specials, so you can eat for a good price. The service is friendly and prompt, and the staff are flexible and helpful when making a special request. We have always had a good experience at Osaka.More

Osaka hasn't been open that long. The first couple of times we went, it was average but ok. Unfortunately, seems to be declining. We ordered out from there yesterday. They got our order wrong which was frustrating. The rolls were also still slightly warm and...average at best. The Summer Roll says it contains Japanese Pickle but it tastes very fishy. The sunomono salads we ordered were very small and didn't contain much in the way of noodles - mostly vinegar. Will say, the sashimi was very good. Unfortunately, didn't make up for the rest of it. At $60 for the two of us, we won't be going back - just not worth it.More

This sushi place is in my neighbourhood, and my husband and i have dinner at Osaka Sushi every couple of weeks. They have some very creative rolls along with the standards and a range of other Japanese dishes. We can always depend on them to...serve delicious, fresh food. We leave satisfied and looking forward to our next visit. I've been to Tojo's, and this isn't Tojo's, but it's by far the best choice for a casual sushi dinner at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.More

We used to go to a Japanese restaurant almost directly across the street that , in its day, served some of the best Japanese food we had the opportunity to eat, but after years of slowly going down hill in quality and more so in...service, a fire eventually closed the restaurant for good. We heard about Osaka and were told it was as good as this other place and we decided to try it out. I am not a big raw fish fan, been there done that, but we do enjoy good Japanese and started with Miso Soup, which was very flavorful, and the tofu nice and firm. We moved on to Ebi Sunomono and we were very impressed with the amount of shrimp they added to it. The Chicken Karaage was nicely spiced. We decided to move on to Beef Teriyaki Don, which was very good, and the mixed Tempura was simply delicious, not greasy and more than enough for the price. We also decided to try the pan-fried Pork Gyoza and were not disappointed at all, perfectly seasoned and piping hot. I love Tobiko with quail eggs, and decided to end my meal with two pieces. I was so impressed, the Tobiko was quite fresh and burst in my mouth leaving such a lasting flavor. I could have eaten more, but was so full as it was. Kirin beers rounded off our dinner. We had enough leftovers for lunch the next day. All in all I felt that the food was better than "that other place" and the service was impeccable. Nice Friday evening out and was not hard on the wallet.More
