I love George's. The burgers are awesome. Juicy, soft, greasy and hot off the grill. Everything a burger should be. I don't understand people who come here and complain about the grease. This is a legit burger joint, they are fried in grease, along with the buns and onions. That's what a real burger is. Drippy. If you don't like... More

My boyfriend has eaten here over 10 times in 2 weeks, safe to say it's a hidden gem! P.s. George was in the world record books for never ever forgetting items in an order!

It was not a place I would have gone to except friends told me it was a 'must'. A nothing looking place, no seating. Chinese rice was the best I have ever had, as was the sweet and sour chicken. What a fun experience, grab your bag of food and head across the street to the park and have a... More

I have visited here many times. It has its good days and bads. I mostly eat the deluxe burgers from here the fries and only had onion rings once. The fries are usually not to bad. And the onion rings well there is a reason I only had them once 👎 It really depends on the days you show up... More

This place is awesome. If you're not looking for healthy food... Want a side of sweet and sour park with your burger? Chow mien? This is the place. It's iconic, but it's not for everyone.

The best burger in town and has been for over 50 years. No frills quick service. Family owned and operated.

My fathers been coming here since he was a young adult and brought me and my sisters here as kids for years when we would pass thru from Campbell River. George's is in the Guinness world record book for remembering the most orders without writing them down, the father George I think still works in the back but his wife... More

Nothing fancy but the best food around. Actually looks dingy from the outside. No sit down. This is real take out! Good food - good prices! If you are a princess who is expecting fancy- skip this place! This is a local gem that we have all been going to since our teen years! You just call your order in,... More

If you're into a grease-fest then this is the place. We went based on previous reviews thinking this would be a great place for a burger…it was so bad we actually thought we had the wrong place. For some reason we assumed the burgers were made fresh but when we pulled up we noticed thawed ready-made patties you can get... More

In the Comox Valley and feel like a good burger and fries? Time to check out George's Food Bar on Comox Road in Courtenay. The cheese burgers are delicious; however, the combo burgers are great too. Old fashioned fries are good, although if you love more than one package of ketchup you pay 5 cents per extra. If you are... More
