The best crab cakes, ever, with lots of crab. The creamy Bisque is also a rare treat. I would travel far for both of these. Worth writing home about ;)

Not a huge menu but what they have is delicious. Good, friendly service. Little pricey for lunch but worth a visit.

There were 4 of us, 3 had Schnitzel, 2 with crab meat &!asparagus with a Bearnice sauce, delicious. One had the Hunter Schnitzel & the other ribs, all were excellent. We've been there half a dozen times & always found the service & food to be excellent. Not only is the food great, but the presentation is quality. We'll be... More

It was my husband's birthday & we were out of town so we decided to try this eatery & liked the idea of small bistro & owner/chef run. It is a joint effort the chefs wife runs the front of house & is very pleasant & of course knowledgeable about the dishes. She makes sure to stagger the reservations so... More

Love this restaurant and look forward to eating here whenever I'm In Courtenay. Small intimate restaurant with attention to detail. Great food from seafood choices to beef rouladen, warm friendly service makes sure you are satisfied. Greetings with Amuse Bouche, chocolate drops to thank you for coming. Short but good wine selections to compliment your meal. Prices are very reasonable... More

It was our last day in our excellent golf adventure and we wanted a nice meal to end our vacation...so we looked on trip advisor and found this resteraunt in old town...when we got there it looked wrong as it was in a little strip mall between a drop in clinic and a used store across from social services...it's not... It was our second visit and this time for lunch instead of dinner. I had the crab cakes and they were excellent. More crab than cake! My husband had the Montreal Smoked Meat sand which which he said was very good and he should know from having lived many years in Montreal. Bisque will be our "go to" restaurant in... More

We walked from the Old House, lovely Riverside walk. We were seated by the window, nice quiet ambiance. Ordered the special Escargot & Mussel Appy. To die for! The sauce was exquisite. Then came salad ( again, amazing dressing) and ravioli, with another amazing sauce. Coconut prawns saved for a midnight snack, delicious. Totally recommend this restaurant! Koodos to the... More
